2. Cd Cover
I started my cd cover using this light blue colour
and putting it on using the fill tool. The colour is
calm and relaxing like the bands music.
3. I used the Gaussian blur on the
stereos to make it look like it’s
playing loud music. Also by blurring
the speakers out you are more
focused on the name of the band.
Which was cropped from a website.
4. To edit some of the background I have
edited the contrast and brightness of
the colour. In effect it also contrasted
the main picture of the band to make it
look like an older picture.
5. I then added the picture of the band onto the
background layer. I used the
contrast/brightening tool to make them stand
out against the background.
6. When adding the album name I used a drop
shadow on it so it would make it bolder and stand
out more on the white/light blue background.
7. Music magazine.
When editing my music magazine masthead I
used a different brush stroke on the edges of
the masthead. This effect makes the
masthead not have any rough edges. As the
font is quite wide and spaced out it could
show the magazine to be quite fun and laid
back. But also have a professional edge.
8. I used a pixilate (a pigmented
one) to change the masthead.
To make it seem smoother and
clearer.
9. I added a drop shadow to the
masthead to make it look more
interesting. Also by warping the
masthead it makes it look more
interesting and stands out more.
10. I made the font and changed the
colour to make it a light positive
colour. I then made a box and
coloured it in to make it bold.
11. To make sure all of my images
and text are in line I used a
grid. I went into view show>
then grid.
This will help my magazine
look neater and more
professional.
12. As the title is called popsplash, I copied an image of
the internet of water splashing. I used colour range
on the splash then put it behind the masthead.
13. I cropped the images and
change there sizes, I made
them look like there were
standing behind the ‘lead
singer’.
14. To change the background into a
lighter subtle tone I put a white
background underneath a layer.
15. When editing my background for my music front cover,
I filled in the background and then selected the layer
then clicked gradient overlay. So the background looks
like its going from dark to light and makes it look more
professional.
16. When editing my main image for my double
page spread, I used the spot healing tool to
make the image look more refreshing. As the
image is a close up of the persons face, it
looks more professional.
