Peter was sad on his first day of school and didn't want to leave his mother, but his teacher Mr. Gonzales helped him make new friends. At the end of the day, the school surprised the children with a visit from a circus featuring jugglers, acrobats, and clowns. While most of the children enjoyed the show, Peter was terrified of the clowns and had an accident when one approached him too closely.

The day Ying
Ying
started preschool he was only 3 and very scared. He didn’t know a single word of English. He needed open-heart surgery in an English-speaking hospital, and his doctors urgently needed him to attend preschool to learn some English before the surgery. But poor Ying
Ying
didn’t like the doctors, the hospital, or the preschool, so he cried—oh, how he howled, endlessly it seemed.
The teachers tried patiently to interest him in the soft white bunny in the science center, the wonderful block center, even the food preparation center, but he just sobbed inconsolably. He didn’t want to be hugged. He didn’t want to be touched. He just cried.
After several days, at circle time, it was
Malika’s
turn to lead the group in a chant. Well,
Malika
was an amazing child, a beautiful, confident African-American child who loved the spotlight. Of course, she picked her cultural folk favorite, a jazzed-up rhyming version of “The Three Bears.”
Malika
-style, she sashayed right up to the front of the circle and led her chant with uninhibited charm, energy, and talent (not to mention pizzazz):
Once upon a
time
in a little log

Lived the three bears—CHA, CHA, CHA.
One
was the papa,
one
was
the mama

Of course the class responded gleefully, heart and soul, and the classroom fairly rocked with this bebop chant. Ying Ying’s sobs were completely drowned out by the ruckus. When the chant ended, it dawned on everyone that Ying
Ying
wasn’t crying anymore. He was standing there looking amazed and actually grinning.
Malika
yelled out, “Hey, Ying
Ying
likes it. He stopped crying. Let’s do it again.”
Apparently, Ying Ying’s Chinese cultural background had in no way, shape, or form prepared him for a roomful of children cheerfully boogieing down to a jazzy version of the three bears.
Malika
lead the
class in the rhyme again. This time Ying
Ying
shook with laughter. He laughed till he cried.
The children enthusiastically “

Reed” and “
Boba
Rood” with every jazzy bone in their bodies over and over.
Well, that is when Ying
Ying
fell in lov.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

1. PETER’S FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL

Peter was very sad because today he had his first day class at school. He was
very mournful for separate of his mother and he didn’t want to study. His
mother woke him in morning, she bathed him, she put him his clothes (against
his desire) and later, she prepared the breakfast. After the breakfast, Peter
didn’t want go to School and he began to run, as a crazy, for all house and he
hid of his mother. She was furious for her son’s attitude. Thirty minutes
after, she found her disobedient son and took him to the School, while him
was kicking and complaining. When they arrived at School and then his mother
said “good bye”, Peter began to cry; he was very, very sad. However, his new
teacher, Mr. Gonzales, said him that should be happy, because he will meet
new friends and he will enjoy the school. Mr. Gonzales guided his new small
student to his new classroom. When Peter went into the classroom, he saw
many unknown children. He felt uncomfortable but, a few minutes later, he
felt with self-confidence and began to speak and play with the other children.

At the end of the day there was a surprise event at school: ¡A circus! The
children were very happy, they were to see jugglers, contortionists and
Chinese acrobats doing all kinds of stunts and tricks, french poodle dogs
dancing on a ball, a man eating all kinds of swords (he was a sword-swallower),
a man swallowing and spitting fire like a dragon (he was a fire-swallower)... The
circus was amazing. When the children were more concentrated and
entertained, suddenly, the lights went out. The children were nervous; they
did not like the dark.
3. The funny circus
When the teachers turn the lights on the mystery is revealed. On the stage
there was a lot of coloring clowns. They began to tell jokes and to make all
kinds of activities funny. The children were happy and excited. However, one
child was in complete silence and motionless. That was Peter. He was petrified,
with his face very pallid and completely mute for the fear. Nobody in at
School knew that he had much afraid the clowns, but they began to suspect
when a clown approached too much to Peter that he (for the panic felt) peed
on himself in the pants. After that unfortunate event, Peter didn’t turn
himself. But that is other history: the beginning of a horror history.
