family fell on hard times. The Smith family moved to Palmyra New York and set themselves up
in the only profession they knew, farming. While in New York, his mother attended a

Hawaii into the United States. Her name was Queen Liliuokalani. She came to power in Hawaii
during a time when white planters ran the economy in the main islands. She fought many things

musically and wrote several songs, including Aloha Oe. She worked to better the Hawaiian Islands

Although, Asperger s syndrome is believed to be the mildest form of autism on the spectrum it still
has its challenges.
Asperger s can have an impact on a child physically, cognitively, socially and psychologically.
Although, there are minor physiological impacts on the person with Asperger s they are still
present. They include lack of eye contact, facial expressions, body posture and a physical
awkwardness or clumsiness (Calero 2015). They also may have difficulty with fine and or gross
motor skills. In regards to the cognitive impact, there hasn t been much research done, but
according to Marcus L. Thomeer s research study, he found there is no clinically significant delay
in cognitive development or in the development of age appropriate self help skills, adaptive
behavior (other than in social interaction), and curiosity about the environment in childhood
(Thomeer, 2012). Most children with AS have average or above average intelligence.
The area where people with AS have the most difficulty is in their social surroundings. Socially, it
can be very difficult to make and maintain friendships due to their lack of social interaction skills,
