1) The document reflects on a student's personal reflections and learnings from lectures in a psychology course. It discusses concepts like self-concept, social identity, independent vs interdependent self, and self-serving bias.
2) A second lecture discussed vision, including the visible light spectrum, dark and light adaptation, and how color impacts perception and arousal. Class discussions explored how red is associated with romance.
3) Visual illusions demonstrated how the same image can result in different perceptions depending on the person. Vision was described as a window into different places and perspectives.
Evaluating other people is something you will do all of your life, both formally, as a teacher, parent, or manager, and informally, as in personal relationships with your peers.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

I had learnt self-concept in the first lecture. During class, we suppose to sit as a circle and ask
ourselves a question. Question given is ‘Who Am I?’ Keep asking myself, I am…? And I
am…? Then, write down at least five answers that I am. I still remember how I define myself
and I knew that the most important aspect myself is myself. I perceive myself as desserts
lover that’s why I always find out the place have sold delicious desserts. In the other hand,
this lecture also has asked us to describe our social identity. For an example, I am a Buddhist
and then I get different answer in the class. In addition, I had understood that independent and
interdependent have each difference. Independent means personal. It defined by individual
traits and goals. Next, Interdependent means social. It defined by connections with others. On
the other way, self-knowledge can also be used in our real life. We can explain and predicting
our behaviour by doing some research by asking our roommate’s romance and doesn’t listen
to your heart.
Then, write a thesis paper were asked to predict when isn’t I can complete the project because
both of us will meet many of life’s big decisions that involved predicting our future feelings
and sure sometimes we will have mispredict our respond. Through this lecture, I have also
learnt about self-serving bias. It is the tendency to perceive oneself favourably. I compare
myself favourably with my brother because I feel that I am better to my parents than is my
brother. Continues, we always need to be think positive in every part in our life because the
power of positive thinking is powerful. I still remember lecture ask both of us to close our
eyes and imagine something by following the happy step-in. Imagine step in into somebody,
stand as their stand, breath as their breath and experience their feelings. By following this
steps, I feel that it was really have the good feelings are strongest in my body and spread this
feelings around my body and taking this feeling into my everyday life. Through both of this
knowledge, I confirm that it can bring a lot of benefits into my future life and it will be quite
useful.

Today I had learnt about ‘Vision’. What is vision? Vision is the detection of light. On the
other hand, I realise that our receptors equipped to respond to wavelength from 400-700 nm.
Our vision divided as dark and light adaptation. The first part of the slide made me feel like
reverse to study when high school, it was a general knowledge. Originally, colour will also
bring effect towards our life. Some of their house’s living room will paint the colour as
lavender because the colour makes them feel calm and relaxation. Half of the younger girl
will paint their bedroom as pink colour because they feel calm and warm although I am not
agree with that. If stand at my angle, I will colour my bedroom as white colour to make it
look plain, clear and neat. I had known about the affective meaning of colour. For an example,
black and grey are bad and red is active. Moreover, red colour also means enhance men’s
attraction to women and it just work on men and not influence on women. Women feel that
men wearing red colour is simple as usual.
In the other way, red also describe as increase arousal brain activity. Then, we have class
discussion. We discuss why red will relevant with romantic and so on. Furthermore, we also
were having a perceptual processduring lecture. Teacher was show some drawing that is
compatible with two interpretations that can shift back and forth. I believe that same visual
input can results in radically different perception. Each people will have different perception
by their own visual. When I watching the picture that the Necker cube, I felt that my eye was
uncomfortable and hard to reverse back the angle we saw before until you try to look at
another location and move back on screen. Then it just will recover. These problems not only
occur on me, it occurs on every people. Lastly, I feel that vision is like a window. We can
saw what we can saw at different place different way. So, appreciate our eye and do not do
any action that will injure our eye.

First day I learnt psychology, I felt expectation and excited. Because the words of psychology
means you can use the way to know what people thinking in their mind. You can realise from
their body movement, eye movement, tone when they speaking and so on. I remember that
teacher have also do a quickly survey about how shy you are. This question is based on the
open scale and it is like quantitative because it just gives us five answers to choose. The other
point was teacher also give us a piece of paper to require us to write down what you think
you are and use three words to describe ourselves, what your dream and so on. Then, pass it
to lecture and she tell us that this question she will keep it and return to us when we finish our
end of semester, actually my lecture is a female.
In addition, when the first time I saw her I feel she was straight and now I feel she was nice
and open minder. This also have related with first impression. When first time you saw
somebody and until this moment, isn’t he or she have a change when the first time you meet
them. This call first impression and you just have one chance to give a comment. Moreover,
teacher also give us a brief about what should we do for our psychology subject. Yes. I feel
interesting about this subject because it’s like knowledge to read people mind.
