6. Fear and Perception
FEAR can paint our perception of
reality.
We can see the world with Grey
glasses or Pink glasses.
Fear can change how perceive our
situation or circumstance.
7. Fear of the paper tiger
Often our fear can not “really hurt
us” often about: something
impacting or threatening our:
•relationships
•environment
•health
•security
8. When you have a F.E.A.R
First ask yourself:
Is the FEAR True?
Is there anything I can do to
change it?
9. Fears we Can & Can Not
Control
The FEAR is always either about something we
either can or can't control.
•There are all the fear/outcomes you can
control (typically self)
•There are all the fears/outcomes you
can not control (typically others)

•Empathy: Understanding and
entering into another’s feelings.
•Feeling the same or being able
to imagine what it is like to be in
someone else’s shoes.
An example of empathy is being able to
imagine what a student who was called a
name.
19. Share a FEAR
Get with a friend and share one fear
Is it real?
Why do you have it?
What part of your life it is effecting?
Do you need to accept it or can you
change it?
20. Changing the FEAR to it’s
opposite
What is the opposite of
the fear?
Can you affirm the
opposite?
21. Practice Affirmations
•“I trust that everything is going to be ok, no
matter what.”
•“I do the best I can and let go of the rest.”
•“I love and accept myself, just as I am right
here.”
•“What others think of me does not matter, what
matters most is how I feel about myself.”
•“I let go of outcomes, over which I have no
control.”
•“I have courage and I am brave.”
