Throughout recorded history, humans have accredited the happenings of nature to a higher power;
shown through religious beliefs past and present. The Greeks believed in a myriad of gods and
goddesses, who supposedly governed all aspects of life and nature. They believed in a god or goddess
to represent each part of nature from the sun to the sea; there was even a goddess of rainbows. The
Grecians used their religion to explain the elements of their world for which they had no other
explanation. Christians explain the natural world in a similar fashion. Instead of a god or goddess for
each individual piece of nature, they preach that nature was created and is controlled by their God.
The belief of divine control is a popular topic in literature; specifically poetry. Pied Beauty written by
Gerard Manley Hopkins in 1877, and Design written by Robert Frost in 1922 are just two examples of
many that follow this trend. Gerard Manley Hopkins was a 19th century, English, Victorian poet. He
was brought up in a religious and artistic family, leading to his becoming a poet and Jesuit priest
(Reid). Alternatively, Robert Frost was a 20th century, modern, American poet. Frost lived and taught

surrounded me. Children starved on unpaved streets with only rags that wrapped their bodies. I ended
my high school career by serving a foreign community. In Chinandega, Nicaragua I had the
opportunity to befriend and support the sick, the imprisoned, the orphaned and impoverished. This
experience among others shaped me to appreciate the value of philanthropy and social justice.
Throughout High School, I led multiple philanthropic projects. As president of the Ignite
Organization, I involved students to raise funds for, and volunteer at a pregnancy center. I assembled a

biometric system malfunction. Systems on level two offer a certain level of security and still remain

or cheated with faked biometric characteristics.

Level three systems already do have some kind of liveness test. Exposed components of the system
(typically the biometric input device) must be guarded or tamperresistant against moderate attacks.
The communication must be authenticated and encrypted. The biometric authentication is sufficient,
and the system never offers traditional authentication as a sufficient authentication method. Such
biometric systems will be able to resist moderate attacks.

Biblical account, Isaiah states that he received visions from God. He states that these visions were

prophecy, which is the prophecy of Jesus. Isaiah specifically wrote about a child who would have no
human father. This child would be God s faithful servant. Isaiah said that this child would become

Sylvia Plath s Daddy is a very strong poem emotionally that has many different meanings and
interpretations. The narrative that Plath created is one that conveys a deep emotional distress and
feelings of confinement of a woman as she is trapped by the memories of her father until finally
gaining freedom when she lets go and make peace with her past. The speaker, symbolism, and the
sound devices all play big parts in giving the poem a profound meaning of resolution. The speaker
often speaks in the second person as she talks to her father, almost like she s writing a final letter to
him. Looking at the poem in this light gives it a whole new tone. It fortifies the meaning of resolution
as the speaker gives a personal confession towards her father, letting him know that even after all the
hurting, she has come to terms with him and will no longer let him have such power over her life.
Certain lines to take on a deeper impact as one reads it like a confessional letter. In the line I have
always been scared of you (41), the speaker is admitting to her father and herself that he has always
scared her, even before his death. The line I may be a bit of a Jew (40) also takes a deeper meaning as
she learns more about herself that she may have been scared to admit before, such as being a Jew.

The last time I remember learning about astronomy formally was as far back as elementary school,
where we learned about the basics of our solar system s planets and other ideas about space commonly
known by most people. Having never studied astronomy at a higher level, going into this class felt
similar to traveling to a foreign country, or sailing in foreign waters, so to speak. Many of the concepts
and facts have been things I have had little to no prior knowledge of. But regardless of any of that, I
cannot express the importance of this area of study in my life. In the past I have read comments
online, as well as heard things in real life, about how some subjects have no value in being studied

not disagree more with this sort of thought. I can relate to some of the concepts of astronomy on a

course, I cannot say that I have not found all of the current topics fascinating. As one who has a deep

Johnny dies from saving kids from a burning church. Also because of his bad record and personality.
This fills Dally with hate and rage. For this reason Dally goes to a store to a store and robes it.
Meeting his gang in the lot the police pull up with guns. Dally also has a gun without ammunition to

Anthropology is not a word that crosses people s minds very often, and when it does, it is most often
associated with treasure hunting and dinosaurs. Those who have a vague idea of what anthropology
