2.  Jonas becomes the receiver of memory, and
finds out the world he lives in is not what he
thought it was
 Jonas can not see color
 Jonas finds out his dad’s work involves him
having to kill babies

3.  He gets memories from the Giver, and gets the
ability to see colors.
 He runs away from the community to discover
the real world.
 He takes Gabriel with him when he runs away
because there is a chance Gabriel might get
released(killed).

4.  Victor likes Teresa, a girl he had liked since
they were in catechism classes at Saint
Theresa’s and tries to impress her so she will
date him

5.  Victor acts likes he knows French, even though
he did not. Teresa asked Victor if he would
help her with her French, and he agrees.

6.  Zebra loves to run. One day, Zebra was
running, and he got hit by a car and can’t run
anymore. Zebra becomes very sad and
depressed.

7.  Zebra meets John Wilson (who fought in the
Vietnam War)who draws Zebra a picture of
himself. Victor joins Mr. Wilson’s art class.
Zebra draws and sculpts in the class, he started
to recover, and feels better.

8.  Reading all of these stories has taught me to
not give up no matter what happens. You have
to keep on going, and never stop, and also you
have to know what is right and what is wrong.
