This workshop was delivered to the Brand Consortium of ISBM. It helped identify the key variables in framing a brand portfolio strategy, including customer segments, product categories, customer end benefits, and price/value tiers. The workshop also helped participants identify the pros and cons associated with various brand portfolio strategies and architectures, and the circumstances where each makes sense. Best practices, guiding principles, case studies and interactive exercises are leveraged throughout…all with a heavy skew toward B2B examples.

In the new economy, Brand Love is the new currency, with marketing shifting to building big ideas, leveraging purpose-driven stories that are in the moment, creating consumer experiences that people talk about, managing ubiquitous purchase moments all helping to steer the brand’s reputation. Marketing has to focus on creating a brand reputation with consumers, and equally creating an organizational culture that reflects the brand’s soul. Instead of shouting your message at every consumers, the best brands confidently whisper to those most motivated by what they do, who then scream with influence to their friends. In the new world, the best brands now fight for a place in the minds and hearts of consumers.
What is consumer insights? Most of people dont really understand what this concept really means. It seems that everybody (planners, marketers, psychologists and creative guys) has their own definition. In that sense It appears to me very interesting to reveal the consumer insights truth.
The deck I presented is the result of all that intense search (desk research basically complemented with my last 4 years of academic & profesional expertise in the market research and consumer insights fields).
As you know, I have been working on the market research field for about 13 years, and recently in the consumer insights area (as Kraft Foods Consumer Insights Manager for Perú and Western Andean Region).
Nowadays I am working as an independent consultant and researcher and found very interesting to share and promote consumer insights vision thorough psychology, marketing, advertising and professional community.
I truly believe in insights as I truly believe on consumer psychology. I think that a consumer centered organization fueled by consumer insights is the best solution for marketing and business success. Do you agree with me? I would appreciate your comments!!! Digital Commerce Lecture for Advanced Digital & Social Media Strategy at UCLA...Valters Lauzums
E-commerce in 2024 is characterized by a dynamic blend of opportunities and significant challenges. Supply chain disruptions and inventory shortages are critical issues, leading to increased shipping delays and rising costs, which impact timely delivery and squeeze profit margins. Efficient logistics management is essential, yet it is often hampered by these external factors. Payment processing, while needing to ensure security and user convenience, grapples with preventing fraud and integrating diverse payment methods, adding another layer of complexity. Furthermore, fulfillment operations require a streamlined approach to handle volume spikes and maintain accuracy in order picking, packing, and shipping, all while meeting customers' heightened expectations for faster delivery times.
Amid these operational challenges, customer data has emerged as an important strategy. By focusing on personalization and enhancing customer experience from historical behavior, businesses can deliver improved website and brand experienced, better product recommendations, optimal promotions, and content to meet individual preferences. Better data analytics can also help in effectively creating marketing campaigns, improving customer retention, and driving product development and inventory management.
Innovative formats such as social commerce and live shopping are beginning to impact the digital commerce landscape, offering new ways to engage with customers and drive sales, and may provide opportunity for brands that have been priced out or seen a downturn with post-pandemic shopping behavior. Social commerce integrates shopping experiences directly into social media platforms, tapping into the massive user bases of these networks to increase reach and engagement. Live shopping, on the other hand, combines entertainment and real-time interaction, providing a dynamic platform for showcasing products and encouraging immediate purchases. These innovations not only enhance customer engagement but also provide valuable data for businesses to refine their strategies and deliver superior shopping experiences.
The e-commerce sector is evolving rapidly, and businesses that effectively manage operational challenges and implement innovative strategies are best positioned for long-term success.
For too many years marketing and sales have operated in silos...while in some forward thinking companies, the two organizations work together to drive new opportunity development and revenue. This session will explore the lessons learned in that beautiful dance that can occur when marketing and sales work together...to drive new opportunity development, account expansion and customer satisfaction.
No, this is not a conversation about MQLs and SQLs. Instead we will focus on a framework that allows the two organizations to drive company success together.

• As a long-term strategy, Quaker can renew its ‘healthy’ image to more of social,
environmental and cause-related marketing.
• Creative content in terms of partnering with social/community organisations can
be focused to distinguish brand image from the competitors.

How is the transition to Smart Heart Challenge
coming?
As Smart Heart Challenge is the key highlight in the
lifestyle section, we need to have the tab for ‘Smart
Heart Challenge’ in the sub navigation tabs .
We don’t need a separate section for testimonials.
Testimonials need to be incorporated in each of the
different sub sections under lifestyle with relevant
context.
Top There needs to be one key video of
the SHC,one of the TVCs that we have
from last year’s campaign.
Also there needs to be a CTA for ‘Take the
Challenge’ now. Upon clicking this users
need to receive a docket that helps sign
up for it via mail and sends them a mailer
docket with detailed information about it.
Also, where are we incorporating the tips?
