2: Conduct during rehearsals - Did this person behave in a positive and
focused way during rehearsals? Assess their contribution to the success of
the rehearsal. Please be as specific as possible.
Ellie was prepared to start working as soon as she stepped into the rehearsal room,
she had a positive attitude throughout the rehearsal and gave contributions on her
ideas when blocking Grease. Ellie’s idea was to give the effect of having a split screen
between the boys and girls within Summer Nights she said to have the boys sat on
blocks on top of the stage and the girls have a table and chairs on the floor. This gives
the effect of a split screen which is a key moment within Grease. Ellie worked well
during this rehearsal she followed all instructions given by both the director and other
members within the company. Ellie ensured throughout the blocking that she wasn’t
blocking any other characters on stage, not only that but she also guided others
within the company to make sure they weren’t blocking other characters and looked
professional. One way in which Ellie can improve is if she lets other cast members
contribute ideas, as she is passionate about performing.

3: Performer response – will you make any changes to your working
practises following this observation? Be specific.
In response to this peer observation I agree that I am a passionate student towards
this course and contribute many ideas that spring to mind to improve the
performance. However, this industry is about team work and allowing others to input
ideas to create a company atmosphere. Therefore I will step back and allow other cast
members voice their ideas for the performance so that we can all work as a team and
all be proud of the outcome.
