In the workshop, Ellie focused on her song "Summer Nights", demonstrating strong singing ability and characterisation through her voice. She helped another performer with advice. To further improve, Ellie will maintain her positive attitude and watch recordings of rehearsals to strengthen her characterisation outside of songs.

The chorus for "You're The One That I Want" lacked energy, as did some dance numbers, making the performance feel flat at times. Overall blocking and choreography for numbers like "Born to Hand Jive" required refinement for the scenes to flow better.

AnotherfaultIwas chose forwas my final harmoniesasIstruggledtohitthem.SummerNightsis renownedforthe final twonotesthatJohnTravoltaand OliviaNewton-Johnincrediblysanginthe filmversion.Thisbecame asmall problemasIam an altoand struggle tohit highnotes.Icame up witha solution,thatIwouldhitthe highnote and holdfora brief time whilstthe ensemblehitthe same note,as theyhitthe same note and sustainit,I wouldharmonise withalowernote tocreate a three part harmony.Once everymemberof the castwas happywithwhichharmoniesandlyrics theywere singing,we startedtokeepsingingSummerNights.AsaresultI wasable to singthe song withoutanylyricsandstart to considercharacterisation.However,rehearsal timewasrunningout and we had notstarted‘You’re the one that I want’.For thissongBetsyis playingthe role of Sandy, so I am a backingsinger.Againlike SummerNightswe were giventhe lyricsandwe sangthroughthe song,and feedbackwasgivenaboutoursinging.Myfeedbackforthissongwasto have a confident and accurate entryforthe backingvocalsbecause there were timesIwasunsure therefore stopped projectingasI wasafraid of goingwrong.Aftera few rehearsalsof thissongIwas confidentthatI knewmyentriesandharmoniesforthe backingvocals. A skill Ifeltwasa strength thislessonwasmyprojectionwhilstsingingmysolopartsforsummer nights.Ibelieve thisisbecauseIattendsinginglessonsandknow how tosupportmyself whilstIam singing.Imake sure my bodyiswide andopenso that there isplentyof roomto fill withoxygen. I successfullyhitthe highnotesandwasable tosustainthe bignote at the endwhilstprojectingand not beingtoo‘breathy’byhavingbreathcontrol. A weaknesswithinthisrehearsal wasmyarticulationanddiction.Istruggledto articulate certain wordsand lineswithinthe songsummernights.Iknow thisisbecause Ididnot properlywarmup
