2. GETTING KNOW YOU
This is a community-building activity that is easily
adaptable to any classroom and topic. Simply
walk around the room and different people the
questions on the paper. Start with people you do
not know well. It’s okay to introduce yourselves in
small groups, but no more than four people per
group.
Talk to as many people as you can in 10 minutes.
3. By the end of the academy, participants will be able to
» identify and distinguish the major tenets of
different learning theories, and adult learning
theory in particular;
» write “end-in-mind” learning objectives;
» discuss relevant research support project-based
teaching and learning (PBL);
» integrate, or improve integration of, technology in
their current classroom practice;
» apply PBL strategies in their classrooms;
» guide students through a project;
» assess students projects with reference to
students’ personal and performance goals.
