Patient counseling is defined as providing
medication information orally or in written
form to the patients or their representatives
on directions of use, advice on side
effects,precautions, storage, diet and life style
modifications.

• Recognize the importance of medication.

side effects and drug interactions.

11. Patient counseling for a drug
Asprin:-
Asprin should be administered after meals or
with food.
 Aspirin should be taken with a full glass of
water(240ml).
 Aspirin 75mg tablets are usually taken once
daily.
 Concurrent administration of other NSAIDs
should be avoided.
