This document outlines a kindergarten lesson plan to teach children the parts of the body. 2. Using Images
*The teacher points to each image, and speaks out the name of the body part it represents.

6. Learning while playing
While following the
example of the
teacher, children are
asked to place their
hands of each of these
body parts and repeat
their name.

Touch your knees.
Touch your toes.

7. “Yes” or “no” game
* Children are asked to say if what the teacher says is correct or not.
Is this a head?
Are these toes? Are these shoulders?

knees?

8. Touch your eyes.

9. Are these ears?

10. Learning the lyrics of a song
 *The teacher points at each part of the body and speaks out its name. The children have
to copy her/his movements and repeat the words she/he is saying.

11. Listening to the song
*The children watch the video and try to sing along and copy
the movements.
