The Partnership for Climate Finance and Development was launched in 2011 to promote effective deployment of climate finance at the country level. It brings together climate change, finance, and development cooperation communities to improve how climate finance is accessed, managed, and used at the country, regional, and global levels. As of 2014, 30 countries and institutions support the Partnership. It works with governments in partner countries to develop capacity for managing and delivering climate finance through in-country approaches and experience sharing. The Partnership also holds regional and global meetings to facilitate knowledge exchange.
