NAF Academies help all students become college and career ready; we target students at risk of academic failure Career ambition is the hook that keeps many students engaged in high school College & Career Readiness
Successful careers require both college readiness and career readiness, which include related but distinct skills CollegeReadiness CareerReadiness and Workplaceknowledge Cognitive skills Contentknowledge College and career readiness Self management and professionalism  Applied workplace skills Contextual  skills and  awareness Academic  behaviors Other: social  responsibility, etc.
For Discussion – College and Career Readiness How does this articulation resonate? What is new/old? Clear/unclear? How does it help/hurt messaging to stakeholders (students, parents, faculty, districts, advisory boards, etc.)? What does this mean for your academy/district? What are the challenges to ensuring students achieve both college and career readiness? What can NAF do better to ensure we all: Achieve and improve these outcomes? Communicate our goals and model with others?
