This document describes research on simulating partial discharges (PDs) at variable frequencies between 0.01-50 Hz in a disc-shaped cavity. PD phase, magnitude, and number of discharges per cycle varied with frequency. A charge-consistent model was developed to dynamically simulate PD sequences. Simulated results showed cavity surface properties and emission were affected by the applied frequency magnitude due to conductivity effects. The paper illustrates how applied voltage amplitude and cavity size influence the frequency dependence of PD activity.
