status as a Texas Tech University Personal Financial Planning (PFP) graduate qualify me as an ideal candidate
for this position at your company. I have years of customer service experience and am a quick learner.
I graduated from Texas Tech in December of 2012 and through my studies there completed multiple personal
finance and accounting courses that will assist me in successfully filling your company's needs. I have also been
exposed to many CRM and planning software programs such as eMoney and am proficient in Microsoft Office
products. Through my studies I have also completed oral communication courses and a technical writing course.
All of education has led to me developing strong organizational and communication skills, which will be
beneficial to your company.
In my role as a Financial Services Representative with MassMutual, I was exposed to sales training and worked
closely with a senior advisor. The senior advisor and I started our own practice as Partners in July of 2013. In
our practice my main roles were to input plan information into eMoney, create quarterly reviews for clients,
follow up with clients, set appointments and sit in on meetings to take notes and offer my advice. I also was
responsible for preparing insurance applications and making sure all information on the documents were correct
and signed in all the required areas.
My education, customer relationship management skills, and my experience working for MassMutual, have
convinced me that financial planning is the career option I would like to continue to explore. Your company has
