                                  pitches

                Explain key
                features of
                   pitch
Level 1 Extremely limited, little or no knowledge and
understanding of how to pitch a film. Written
0-2 communication uneven and extremely limited with high
          proportion of inaccuracies.
Level 2 Basic knowledge and understanding of how to pitch a
film. Written communication more generally accurate
3-5 although still limited.
Level 3 Reasonable knowledge and understanding of how to pitch
a film. Written communication good. More confident use
6-7 of specialist terminology.
Level 4 Excellent knowledge and understanding of how to pitch a
film. Written communication excellent. Confident and
8-10 well-integrated use of specialist terminology.
 Look at the following examples:
    Butcher
    Obsession Lover
 What level would you apply to each pitch?
 Why have you awarded that level?
 What is your Logline?
 What genre have you selected?
 Which genre film is similar to your film?
 What is your film about?
 Who are the main stars of your film?
 Who is the main target audience for your
  film?
 Using your answers to the previous questions
create your own 150 word pitch for your film
 Remember, you are being graded on:

    Quality of your Pitch
    Use of terminology
    Written Communication
 Ensure that your 150 word summary answer
  all of the key questions
 Proof read your work or get someone else to
  read over it
 Make sure your ideas are clear – why not
share your ideas with a friend?
 Make sure that your film is generic – does it
seem like the kind of film that would be
  released
