1 John 2:3-10 Tests reveal where we are compared to where we should be in specific areas. Do you really know God? Do you obey God? Do you walk like Jesus walked? Do you love your brethren?
Do you desire to hear God's voice? How do you know when He's speaking? This study details the methods through which God speaks and the heart we must have in order to hear Him clearly.
In this presentation, Bishop Essien Ekong (MD), an experienced medical practitioner, taught the brethren the need for family planning and child spacing. Family planning is needed for the recovery of the woman and man (physically and economically) after child birth, when the woman is having medical conditions which makes pregnancy risky to her health, and when the couple has decided to stop having children.
Read the presentation for all details about family planning methods. May the Lord bless you all in Jesus' name. Amen.

Deacon Michael Ebong admonished the brethren on the importance of making godly choices such as: what to do for a living? Whom to marry? Where to live? What Car to buy? What Clothes to wear? Coming to Church today? etc.
Based on the case study of the choices made by Lot, we are advised to be selfless, patient and considerate with one another.

In Matthew 5:20, The Bible makes this emphasis: "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Often times, this is interpreted in the context of giving to mean that Christians must give, as a compulsion, above one-tenth (since the Pharisees were known to give a tenth of their resources).
This teaching was presented by Bishop Itse Enonuya to remind us of the flaws of the Pharisee and why Christ taught the Jews to obey their interpretation of the Law but never to follow their examples since they were hypocrites.
As Christians, we are commanded to give to God willing and out of a cheerful heart (without compulsion) - 2 Corinthians 8:20 "For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have." 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
However there is a clause: 2 Corinthians 9:6 "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
In this sermon, Bro. John Eko admonished the brethren on the importance of setting our affections on God and avoid worldly distractions. Read the presentation for more.
God bless you. Happy Lord's Day to you all.
In this sermon, Christians were admonished and warned against complacency in their Christian journey. An example was taken from the case of the Israelites were, out of all men above the age of 20 at the time of Exodus, only two entered the Promised Land. Christians are encouraged to stand firm lest they fall prey to the enemy and his antics.
This is the PowerPoint presentation of the powerful sermon presented by Bishop Itse Enonuya.

This series on the Scriptural Basis of the Church of Christ is organised by the Church as a refresher course to the brethren. We hope this lesson will be beneficial to the saints and others outside the fold of God.
This book is for anyone that has gone through a storm and maybe going thru one now. Learn the types of storm and how they relate to you. Trust Gods word and learn his way out of each and every storm.
In the previous chapters the main emphasis in the book was why we need a Savior and how we can accept Him. However, this chapter begins to deal with how a Christian ought to live out his salvation. There are many practical points to daily Christian living which begin in Romans 12 and continue to the end of the book.
This is a study of how God is faithful to bring us through all trials and sadness to a point where we laugh again and sing His praises with shouts of joy.
This presentation encourages a Christian on the principles of healthy living in the midst of turmoil, disturbances, suffering and other adversities. It guides the Christian on how to look into every form of pain as an opportunity to grow and even find clarity. It shows that there are disruptions that can only make a man and not mar him because they are spiritually discerned by God.
This is a study of Jesus being the one that Paul would die for. It is about the courage and determination of Paul to press on doing the will of God even if it cost him his life.
In this sermon, Bro. Peter Udoh encouraged the brethren as regards God promise of raising the dry bones amongst them. He also advised brethren to live according to God's commands so that they will inherit all of God's promises.
In this lesson, Brother Monday Umoh taught the brethren on leadership evaluation as regards the sustenance of the Church leadership. Please read for more insights.

Taking his sermon by the Book of 2 Timothy 2:3-4, Bro. Chika Chikwendu admonished the brethren to exhibit qualities of soldiers in their service to God.
He discussed on that as good soldiers, Christians should exhibit the following qualities:
1. Be Good Followers of Christ,
2. Be Faithful in Service of Christ,
3. Should Possess Sound Knowledge of God, and
4. Be Determined Fighters.
Read the presentation for more information. God bless you.
In this teaching, Brother Remilekun Adegboyega dissected the controversial topic of same-sex marriage and gave historical and biblical perspectives to guide the hearts of Christians.
Read the presentation for more information.
In this sermon, our Deacon Michael Ebong admonished the Christians to give careful attention to their speech, avoid corrupt words, and speak that which edifies: Eph. 4:29.
Read the presentation for more edifying words from God. God bless you.
Citing the unconscious living by Esau when he sold his birthright for porridge, Bishop Itse Enonuya advised the Christians to live consciously everyday and avoid taking rash decisions which will tantamount to selling their birthday in Christ. Christians were also advised to take the work of the vineyard serious and obey the commandments of the Lord.
Christians are the called-out. We are called out of the world into the marvelous light of God. In this sermon, Bro. Monday Umoh carefully examined who is called, how one is called, what one is called for, to who one is called for, etc.
Bit by bit we learn how to be calm. Being still and calm gives us strength and ability to withstand the stress of constant change. Calmness can preach a powerful sermon even when few words are spoken.
God is a refuge in times of trouble (vv. 1-3)
God is with us in times of trouble (vv. 4-7)

In Heb 8:3-5:
3) Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer. 4) If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law. 5) They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."
This is a teaching presented during the 50-Sunday Programme of the Church of Christ, Sangotedo in order to edify the saints and visitors on the Pattern of Worship of the New Testament Church.
Matthew 22:39. "Love your neighbor as yourself." Our Lord Jesus, commanded that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves, that this was the second most important commandment. Today, we are admonished to renew our love for our neighbours whether they are perceived as friends or enemies.
Read the Powerpoint slides for more details.
As we proceed from 2015 into 2016, the Word was sent to admonish Christians to walk together in unity and love for each other. This is a call for oneness in faith and love to all Christians.
The Church as an organisation has her own challenges. Today, Bishop Itse Enonuya highlighted these challenges and recommended ways of overcoming them. These challenges and solutions are applicable in any Christian gathering.
1 Thess. 5:16 commands that we should "Rejoice Evermore." Being joyous is directly related to how we perceive the circumstances surrounding us. No matter what happens - good or bad - we must see everything as the will of God and continue to give Him thanks always. This is the secret of being joyous.

In Summary:
1. An evangelistic congregation is one committed to pleasing their Lord,
2. An evangelistic congregation is one that is committed to a spiritual relationship with Jehovah God.
3. An evangelistic congregation is one that is completely committed to the concept of reaching out to the lost.
4. An evangelistic congregation is one that is balanced in reaching out to the lost.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

3. 1. INTRODUCTION
♣A person is discouraged if the confidence or
hope of doing something is taken away. Is the
state in which one is being down or out. Some of
the very finest Biblical characters were victims
of discouragement.
♣Everybody at one time or another becomes
discouraged, like parents, teachers, preachers,
elder etc.
11/23/2014
4. 1. INTRODUCTION
♣The graph of life is not a straight line. It will have
its valleys and peaks, its downs and its up, its
high and its low. The problem is getting down,
getting low, getting into valley and not getting
out. Thus depression sets in. in 2cor 2:11 we are
made to understand that we are not ignorant of
devil devices.
♣The device of the devil is to take away the
confidence or hope we have. This is done by
attacking the faith which is the victory we have
to overcome the world 1 Jon 5:4, through fear
anxiety, grief and gloom.

The woman with the issue of blood could have
said, I’ve tried hard. I’ve been deprived. Nothing
avails. There is no God. But instead of thus, talking
to herself she said. “If I may but touch his garment,
I shall be whole (matt 9:20-22). The point is this,
avoid talking to yourself discouragingly, telling
yourself that you are a failure, that nobody cares,
that you are not appreciated, that you are nobody.
Instead, tell yourself that you are not a failure, that
people do care, that you are appreciated and that
you have a vital role to play in life.
