feud of Scibini, where a
preexisting tower was built in

In 750 BC, the ancient territory of Pachino was inhabited by the
Phoenicians, the Punics, and the Greeks.

The Arabs did not impose a unitary kingdom but divided Sicily into
three large administrative districts:
-the Val di Mazara which included the central-western part
-the Demon Valley that included the north-eastern part

The story of current Pachino
begins in 1734 when the Prince
Starrabba of Piazza Armerina,
owners of estates Scibini and
Bimmisca, decided to reside in
the territory to better care their
interests

between Mediterranean sea and Ionian sea.
