Results of the pre-survey

2. All partner countries participated to the questionnaire, but out of 148 students registered on
the twinspace, 92 students answered the questionnaire

3. Almost everyone has taken the train at least once, except for 16 students
who have never traveled by train

4. Most students do not know if traveling by train is more comfortable than by
plane. Interesting that 25% who are certain that traveling by train is not
comfortable

5. Most students know or think train travel is more environmentally friendly, but
25% don't think so!

6. Most students plan to travel by train for no more than 3 days

7. Most students know or think train travel is safer, but 22% don't think so!

8. Only 30 students know that the EU has decided that 2021 is the EuropeanYear of Railways

9. Interesting answers: from this project students expect to learn more about train as a
means of transport, get to know other European students and communicate in English
