• Any Operating System is a system software which manage,
operates and communicates with the computer hardware and
software.
• to complete the execution user program need many resources.
• The main job of Operating System is to provide resources and

TIME SHARING OS
• Time Sharing OS is one that allows a no. of different user to share the
single Computer System for a variety of application at a time
• In Time Sharing, small time slots are available for each user, by using
time sharing OS, we quickly alternate between many users, receiving
small amount of time.
7. DISTRIBUTED OS

(An NBAAccredited Institute)
• A distributed OS is an OS that runs on multiple machine and
enables them to work together as a single system.
• It manages resources across the network, provides
communication between nodes and offers feature like process
management, file sharing and fault tolerance.
8. REAL TIME OS

(An NBAAccredited Institute)
• A Real Time OS is designed to manage task & processes with strict
time requirements. It ensures that critical task are executed within
predefined time limits, making it suitable for application like
industrial automation.
• Real Time must be accepted and processed on short time or within
deadline.
