Tie-Dye Flower Cookies Option 3

Tie Dye
Flower Cookies

2. Possible Supplies for this project…
Flour
Sugar
Butter
Vanilla (optional 1 tsp)
Food Coloring
Pan
Oven
Adult Supervision
Cookie Cutter (optional)

3. Mix ingredients together…
Use a hand mixer or a
stand mixer to mix your
ingredients to create a
dough. Can also mix by
hand if don’t have a
mixer.
Dough will be sticky.

4. Separate dough into bowls…
Separate your dough into bowls so you can make different colors.

5. Add Food Coloring…
Add a few drops of food coloring
to your dough.
Mix each ball carefully with
your hands to create your
colors. Be careful, will be
sticky and messy.

6. Create your multicolored balls…
Add small pieces of each color
together to create a ball and
gently roll and mix.
Don’t mix too much, don’t want
to muddy up your colors.

7. Create a flower…
Flatten your ball to make a circle.
You can flatten with your hand or
a rolling pin.
Take pieces of your dough to put
petals onto your circle to create
the petals for a flower.

8. Create a flower…
You could also use a flower
shaped cookie cutter to cut out
flowers.

9. Place and Bake…
Place your cookies on a pan and bake at 325 degrees for about 12 – 15 minutes.

10. Enjoy…
Enjoy eating your tie dye cookies.
