Currently, about 40% of the world's energy consumption is used in buildings. In India, with the improvement of living standards and the improvement of living standards, the energy consumption of cooling/heating in buildings is also increasing. The document presents a study based on a survey conducted in residential buildings in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This survey was conducted to evaluate the influence of various parameters such as orientation, window/wall ratio, open areas around buildings, window areas exposed to direct solar radiation, planting, shading, natural lighting, energy consumption in summer and winter Wait. The results have been analyzed for thermal comfort conditions. Controlling this direct sunlight gain can be used as a measure to increase energy savings and thermal comfort. The method of controlling direct solar gain has been discussed in this document. Describes energy-saving opportunities and makes recommendations. From the perspective of optimally designing new residential buildings, this research is useful and can also reduce the energy consumption of existing buildings through some simple measures.
Comparative Study on Day Lighting & Energy Modeling For Conventional and Gree...inventionjournals
A green building is a building which consumes less energy, less water and it includes proper waste management system in such a way that it utilizes maximum natural resources without .affecting the future needs. The energy consumption in a conventional building varies based on the person’s metabolic condition, the circulation of fresh air and the intensity of light entering to the building. The absence of fresh air circulation and lack of natural light will lead to intense power consumption in the building. The methodology used here is basically on the working of the three software viz., velux, design builder, and equest. The velux software is used to understand the building day light factor, how the ventilations are provided and to what extent the building is consuming the natural light through these ventilations. A simulation shall be drawn to check colors the lux values inside the building and it shall be done on the basis d considering different colors and designing the building as per latitude and longitude of the building so the results are based on the weather and climatic conditions of the building topography, thermal comfort in the building, metabolic conditions and materials used . Equest software is the software used for the final analysis of the modeled energy building to determine the consumption of the energy and also the annual savings based on the model prepared in the software. The main area is on how to reduce the energy consumption in the building using the natural day light. A study on the modeled building by its appropriate orientation and a cost wise comparison between green and a conventional building are done here. The study is conducted in one of the site located at Mangalore island site for conventional building.

Impact of Building Envelope Modification on Energy Performance of High-Rise A...drboon
In residential buildings, providing comfortable living environment for building occupants is a major challenge for architects, engineers and those who involved in the building industry. It is reported that considerable energy is consumed to provide and maintain acceptable indoor conditions for thermal comfort in residential buildings in hot-humid climate. The observable increase in energy consumption is chiefly resulting from the growing use of air conditioning system. There are various energy conservation measures which can be applied to reduce energy consumption and among these measures are passive envelope design measures. This paper addresses the energy performance of selected high-rise apartments in Kuala Lumpur. Energy Plus software is utilized in measuring the performance because of its availability, validity and accuracy. Possible energy savings due to passive envelope design measures integration are investigated. This includes investigating the effect of thermal insulation and glazing type on potential energy savings.

Study on 100% energy efficient sustainable buildingseSAT Journals
Abstract This paper addresses the approach to minimize the Energy consumption and the cost of house and it givesthe comfort to the
people living within. This can be achieved by proper design of the structure and use of renewable resources. Energy can be
harnessed on site by use of solar for energy production which can be further stored for consumption in absence of daylight.
For achieving zero energy houses first we need to conserve energy at the time of construction and the execution then create
energy by renewable resources. Hence the amount of energy required for proper working in created on site hence there is no need
for any external source of energy. A zero energy home guarantees long term energy and cost stability for the homeowner. The aim
of the present study is to develop an open-access, consistent database of both personified energy and carbon for construction

Finite Element Analysis-Modeling and simulation of coil springsPratish Rawat
Several mechanical systems employed helical coil spring. It can be designed to show nonlinear performance. Spring stiffness exhibits nonlinear behavior depending on their role in various applications. This means that the stiffness of the spring is not continual, but governed by the compression. Nonlinear motion arises when the number of active coils of variable compression declines or rises. When coil springs are used as conical springs in dynamic systems, it becomes mandatory to identify the consequence of springs on dynamic performance. This article looks at the nonlinear dynamic behavior of conical springs with higher mass. In this article, coil springs considered have a constant pitch and elastic nature wise. This article compares experimental data for deformations of coil springs taken with those obtained by finite element method.

A Comparison and Sustainability Analysis of Solar Thermal ReceiversPratish Rawat
Solar Thermal receivers are major component in applications, such as solar water heater for generating hot water for commercial and domestic purpose, solar space heating, concentrating solar power, or solar assist heating, ventilation and air conditioning. There are evacuated tubes and aerogel based solar receivers. A receiver should ideally absorb and convert incident sunlight into heat. For high efficiency receiver should not loss much heat out of its boundary. However, some radiation and convection heat loss occur in every receiver. In this paper comparative analysis of two type high efficiency receiver, evacuated tube and aerogel receivers has been done based on the parameters like sustainability, effectiveness, efficiency, and life cycle. A mathematical model of each receiver has been developed with other comparison parameter. Upon analysis it could be predict that aerogel receiver more sustainable and overall impact than vacuum or evacuated type receiver. Aerogel receiver also gives flexibility of design, geometry and temperature.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN CONDENSING HEAT EXCHANGERS...ssuser7dcef0
Power plants release a large amount of water vapor into the
atmosphere through the stack. The flue gas can be a potential
source for obtaining much needed cooling water for a power
plant. If a power plant could recover and reuse a portion of this
moisture, it could reduce its total cooling water intake
requirement. One of the most practical way to recover water
from flue gas is to use a condensing heat exchanger. The power
plant could also recover latent heat due to condensation as well
as sensible heat due to lowering the flue gas exit temperature.
Additionally, harmful acids released from the stack can be
reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation. reduced in a condensing heat exchanger by acid condensation.
Condensation of vapors in flue gas is a complicated
phenomenon since heat and mass transfer of water vapor and
various acids simultaneously occur in the presence of noncondensable
gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Design of a
condenser depends on the knowledge and understanding of the
heat and mass transfer processes. A computer program for
numerical simulations of water (H2O) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4)
condensation in a flue gas condensing heat exchanger was
developed using MATLAB. Governing equations based on
mass and energy balances for the system were derived to
predict variables such as flue gas exit temperature, cooling
water outlet temperature, mole fraction and condensation rates
of water and sulfuric acid vapors. The equations were solved
using an iterative solution technique with calculations of heat
and mass transfer coefficients and physical properties.
