The OpenEdu Framework, developed by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, aims to enhance access to education through digital technologies by removing barriers and promoting customizable learning. It encompasses six core dimensions—including access, content, and pedagogy—along with a strategic approach to support policymaking related to open education across EU member states. A follow-up project focusing on regional and national policies will offer insights into existing open education practices and identify future needs, with a full report expected in Spring 2017.
