• Online teaching is the process of educating others on
virtual platforms.This type of teaching involves live
classes, video conferencing, webinars, and other
online tools.
• The online applications are developed and designed to
facilitate easy learning and better understanding.
• The advancement in technology has improved the
quality of distance education and increased the trend
of e-learning.
• Online tutors and learners are becoming comfortable
with computers and the internet.
 It is helping them to create a better virtual learning
environment.
• Teaching online requires strong network connectivity
and computing device systems.

disabilities.
• Online teaching is a types of education that is
delivered and administered using the internet.
• Online teaching is the process of educating others
on virtual platforms. This type of teaching
involves live classes, video conferencing,
webinars, and other online tools.
• The online applications are developed and
designed to facilitate easy learning and better
understanding.
• Online teaching can be divided into numerous
categories depending on the amount of online
learning.

For online teaching to be successful, it is
recommend that the instructor should follow
the following seven principles :
1. encourage student participation,
2. encourage student cooperation
3. encourage active learning
4. give prompt feedback,
5. emphasize time on task,
6. communicate high expectations,
7. Respect diverse talents

Flexibility.

• Opens new possibilities for assessment.
• Requires self-discipline and time
management skills.
• Diminished social interaction.
• Not suitable for every topic.
• Lack of practice-based learning.
• Reliance on technology.
 Online Teaching has been on the rise in recent years, largely due to
the convenience, cost, and accessibility the system offers
compared to traditional learning. This growth has only been fueled
by the corona virus pandemic that forced down the shutters of
universities and schools worldwide.
 Online teaching has brought a positive impact in the lives of
students and working professionals. It has given an opportunity to
take up additional courses along with their studies or job as per
their convenience.

 Online teaching has also helped the faculty in the institutions to
ask students to study some part of syllabus online which do not
require much of classroom instructions. So the online study helps
