3 goals:
Increasing digital competences of teachers to address the challenges of bringing 21st Century skills into the school
Increasing digital skills of students via the use of technology in a safe environment
Supporting European citizenship
Creation of eTwinning in 2005, attributed to European Schoolnet, the network of Ministries of education in Europe
33 countries + 6 associate countries – 28 languages
3 parts in the eTwinning platform:
- Public website (videos, awards, public page of each project, pedagogical ressources)
- eT Live (working space and learning development area for teachers – think LinkedIn and Lynda into one)
Twinspace: teachers find partners in other schools, create workspaces to work together and with their classrooms
