1. The document discusses different types of live corners that can be set up in schools, including aquariums, terrariums, and vivaria. Aquariums house fish and create ecosystems, terrariums are sealed containers for plants and small creatures on land, and vivaria simulate specific habitats.
2. Live corners are important for students to develop skills in observation, appreciation of nature, and understanding of concepts like ecosystems and interdependence. Setting up different types of live corners exposes children to hands-on learning opportunities.
3. In conclusion, the document emphasizes that live corners are essential for every school to improve students' thinking and observation abilities.
The science which deals with the study of living objects is called Biology. Thus the subject involves the studies of all kinds of micro-organisms, plants and animals. Biology is related to mankind ever since the origin of man, therefore this branch of science stands first in order of studies as compared to other branches of science. Ever since the origin of life man is eager to know about various phenomenon of life processes such as health and disease, birth, growth and death. However, man depends on plants and animals for food, shelter and clothing which are immediate needs of life, come from Biology. Perhaps it was the elementary need of man to know about the living beings, so that maximum benefits can be drawn out of them. Though biology involves study of life, but now a days it is mostly centralised with the study of agriculture, animal husbandry, health and microbiology and related branches. Today study of any branch of science is not possible in isolation as it also involves principles of physics, chemistry and various other branches.

Threat of sea turtle Rajeev raghavan Kufos kerala Ashish sahu
Sea turtles, sometimes called marine turtles, are reptiles of the order Testudines and of the suborder Cryptodira. The seven existing species of sea turtles are the green sea turtle, loggerhead sea turtle, Kemp's ridley sea turtle, olive ridley sea turtle, hawksbill sea turtle, flatback sea turtle, and leatherback sea turtle.
Sea turtle, any of seven species of marine turtles belonging to the families Dermochelyidae (leatherback sea turtles) and Cheloniidae (green turtles, flatback sea turtles, loggerhead sea turtles, hawksbills, and ridleys).
Seven different species of sea (or marine) turtles grace our ocean waters, from the shallow seagrass beds of the Indian Ocean, to the colorful reefs of the Coral Triangle, and even the sandy beaches of the Eastern Pacific. WWFs work on sea turtles focuses on five of those species: green, hawksbill, loggerhead, leatherback and olive ridley.

Oarfish are large, greatly elongated, pelagic lampriform fish belonging to the small family Regalecidae. Found in all temperate to tropical oceans yet rarely seen, the oarfish family contains three species in two genera. One of these, the giant oarfish, is the longest bony fish alive, growing up to 8 m in length. Wikipedia

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

3. INTRODUCTION
Every school should have a live corner where some animals and plants are
grown and reared. This provides opportunity for spontaneous observation and
enjoyment. Young children learn best by experiment with their environment
through hands on activities and play. Which is why live corners are such a vital
part of the schools? Using live corners to give children the hands on experiment
and play opportunities they need is important but there are a variety of factors
which influence the live corners. Generally three types of live corners arranged in
school.
1. Aquarium
2. Terrarium
3. Vivarium
4. Aquarium
Aquarium is a small pond arranged in a room which provides
opportunities for an unlimited amount of spontaneous, undirected observation.
Pupils develop skill in observation, interest in plants and animals and also
appreciation. It is very essential that the conditions provided in the aquarium
should be more or less the same as those of pond. Where plants and animals live
together, rather a realistic representation of natural ecosystem. The inter
dependence of plants and animals, locomotion, respiration etc of fishes factors of
an ecosystem, balance of nature, food chain, food web, etc can be learnt from an
aquarium.
An aquarist owns fish or maintain an aquarium, typically constructed
of glass or high strength acrylic, cobord acquaria are also known as fish tanks
while bowl shaped aquaria are also known as fish bowls.
History and popularization
In the Roman Empire, the firstfish to be brought indoors was the Sea
barbell; which was kept under guest beds in small tanks made of marble.
Introduction of glass planes around the year 50 AD allowed Romans to replace
one wall of marble tanks, improving their view of the fish in 1369. The Hognut
Emperor of China established a porcelain company that produced large porcelain
tobs for maintaining goldfish; over fine, people produced to us that approached
the shape of modern fish bowls. Aquarium including marine and fresh water
aquarium.
Aquarium fish keeping is one of the most popular hobbies of the
world, today with the changing mode of life styles of modern man, the presence
of calming beauty of a resident fish in a naturally preserved habitué on an
aquarium rank as a pet would be a better option
Examples for ornamental fishes:
CYPRINUS CARPIO (Kui Carp)
Molliensia Sphenops (Black lyre- tail molly)
6. Stimulating a rain forest, swamp or
Others wetland environner
Penguinarium -> containing penguins
Terrarium
Terrarium is a live corner for rearing creatures living on the surface and
below the surface of the earth. Terrariums are usually sealable glass containers
that can be opened for maintenance and to acres the plants inside. Terrariums
are often kept as decorative or ornamental items. Closed terrariums create a
unique environment for plant growth, as the transparentwalls allow for both heat
and light to enter the terrarium.
HISTORY
The first terrarium was developed by botanist Nathance Bagshaw in 1842
ward had an interest in observing insect behavior and accidentally left one of the
Jars unattended. A fern spore in the jar grew, germinated into a plant, and the
terrarium was born. The trend quickly spread in the Victorian Era amongst the
English Instead of the terrarium it was known as the warden case.
7. VIVARIUM
Vivarium is an area usually enclosed, for keeping and raising animals or plants for
observation or research often, a portion of the ecosystem for a particular species
is stimulated on a smaller scale, with controls for environmental education.
A vivarium may be small enough to sit on a desk or table, such as a
terrarium or an aquarium, or may be very large suture possibly outdoors large
vivaria, particularly those holding organisms capable of flight.
In modern literature the word was not heavily used until a
publication called “vivarium” the first of its kind was created by Phillip Mr Vosjoli
in san Deigo California to share information about the keeping of reptiles,
amphibians and other terrestrial animals in captivity.
Various forms of Vivarium
Insectariums -> Containing insects and arachnids
Formicarium -> species of ants
Palvdarium -> A Semi- actuate enclosure
8. TYPES OF TERRARIUM
ClosedTerrarium
Due to the conditions being similar to the honed and sheltered environment of
the tropics Tropical plant varieties, such as mosses, orchids, ferns and airplanes,
are generally kept within closed terrariums
OpenTerrarium
Open terrariumare better Suited to dry plants such as succulents.
9. CONCLUSION
Liver corner are essential in Every school and it help the children’s to improve the
thinking and observation skills. Different types of live corners including Vivarium,
Terrarium, and Aquarium create different skills in students it was important think
to provide live corner in every school.
