Technology and Innovation are two main components nowadays to differentiate in the competitive world we live in. Transformations, whether on a small or larger scale could become a matter of survival for certain companies.
I am happy to share with you a Digital Transformation case my team and I at IE university worked on as part of our Technology and Innovation class.
We worked on Codelco's case, a leading mining company based in Chile, which revolutionised the mining industry with the implementation of their remote operating room. The results and efficiency of the innovation can be measured by the large increases in revenues as Coper prices being stable at that time.
In Codelco's case, the digital transformation was indeed a matter of survival after the 2016 copper pricing crisis.
