Attitudes are contagious and influence our behaviors, relationships, and work. A positive attitude creates enthusiasm, inspires creativity, and attracts others, while a negative attitude increases stress and makes problems seem worse. Our attitudes come from our own thoughts, feelings, and actions, so we can choose to respond positively or negatively to challenges. Changing negative self-talk and focusing on learning from mistakes can help improve our attitudes.
Motivation is an inferred process that causes an organism to move towards a goal. Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs identifies physiological, safety, belongingness, esteem, and self-actualization as five levels of human needs. Motivation comes from fulfilling lower level needs and moving up the hierarchy. Effective motivation techniques appeal to benefits, emotions, needs/wants, expertise, and include finding new skills, developing feedback, and rotating work. Goal setting should involve specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound goals that are regularly reviewed and analyzed to improve progress toward success.
Self awareness allows you to understand your own personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and how others perceive you. Developing self awareness requires focusing attention on your own behavior, emotions, and thought patterns. This allows you to recognize triggers for emotional reactions and change interpretations in your mind to shift emotions. Having strong self awareness facilitates better personal and professional relationships through improved empathy and understanding of others.
Motivation is what causes an individual to move towards a goal. Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs explains that individuals are motivated to fulfill basic physiological needs like hunger and thirst before progressing to higher level needs. Self-motivation involves breaking large tasks into small steps and taking action without waiting for inspiration. Effective motivational strategies include finding new skills, getting feedback, expanding abilities, and rotating work assignments. Goal setting is important for motivation, with goals needing to be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-oriented. Short-term goals can be achieved quickly while long-term goals take more time to accomplish.

The document discusses the importance of personality development for success in life and career. It outlines several key requirements for developing a fine personality, including clarity of goals, doing beyond expectations, learning from failures, having initiatives, enthusiasm, self-discipline, and maintaining physical and mental health. It emphasizes developing a positive attitude by choosing to do things rather than feeling one has to do them. Personality development requires systematic, determined, and consistent efforts with self-control and accepting setbacks without dejection.
This document discusses motivation and how to increase it. It defines motivation as having three components: energy, willpower, and purpose. It recommends setting goals in three categories: life goals to give overall inspiration, long-term goals to work towards your life goal, and foundation goals to build ability. Overcoming procrastination involves recognizing fear of failure, while low self-esteem stems from beliefs about worth. Building self-confidence requires taking responsibility, examining beliefs, developing strengths, and eliminating negatives.
This document discusses growth mindsets and creator mindsets. It defines a growth mindset as believing that skills and intelligence can be developed over time through effort and learning from mistakes and challenges. In contrast, a fixed mindset views skills as innate talents that cannot change. While agile has entered the post-mainstream age, possibly losing its mojo along the way, the rise of remote working is dealing a more severe blow than its industrialization.
In this talk we'll have a look to the cumulative effect of the constraints of a remote working environment and of the common countermeasures.
Impact of Effective Performance Appraisal Systems on Employee Motivation and ...Dr. Nazrul Islam
Healthy economic development requires properly managing the banking industry of any
country. Along with state-owned banks, private banks play a critical role in the country's economy.
Managers in all types of banks now confront the same challenge: how to get the utmost output from
their employees. Therefore, Performance appraisal appears to be inevitable since it set the
standard for comparing actual performance to established objectives and recommending practical
solutions that help the organization achieve sustainable growth. Therefore, the purpose of this
research is to determine the effect of performance appraisal on employee motivation and retention.

From Concept to reality : Implementing Lean Managements DMAIC Methodology for...Rokibul Hasan
The Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry in Bangladesh is a cornerstone of the economy, but increasing costs and stagnant productivity pose significant challenges to profitability. This study explores the implementation of Lean Management in the Sampling Section of RMG factories to enhance productivity. Drawing from a comprehensive literature review, theoretical framework, and action research methodology, the study identifies key areas for improvement and proposes solutions.
Through the DMAIC approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), the research identifies low productivity as the primary problem in the Sampling Section, with a PPH (Productivity per head) of only 4.0. Using Lean Management techniques such as 5S, Standardized work, PDCA/Kaizen, KANBAN, and Quick Changeover, the study addresses issues such as pre and post Quick Changeover (QCO) time, improper line balancing, and sudden plan changes.
The research employs regression analysis to test hypotheses, revealing a significant correlation between reducing QCO time and increasing productivity. With a regression equation of Y = -0.000501X + 6.72 and an R-squared value of 0.98, the study demonstrates a strong relationship between the independent variables (QCO downtime and improper line balancing downtime) and the dependent variable (productivity per head).
The findings suggest that by implementing Lean Management practices and addressing key productivity inhibitors, RMG factories can achieve substantial improvements in efficiency and profitability. The study provides valuable insights for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers seeking to enhance productivity in the RMG industry and similar manufacturing sectors.

Is Agile dead? It depends on what you mean by 'Agile'. If you mean that the organizations are not getting the promised benefits because they were focusing too much on the team-level agile "ways of working" instead of systemic global improvements -- then we are in agreement. It is a misunderstanding of Agility that led us down a dead-end. At Org Topologies, we see bright sparks -- the signs of the 'second wave of Agile' as we call it. The emphasis is shifting towards both in-team and inter-team collaboration. Away from false dichotomies. Both: team autonomy and shared broad product ownership are required to sustain true result-oriented organizational agility. Org Topologies is a package offering a visual language plus thinking tools required to communicate org development direction and can be used to help design and then sustain org change aiming at higher organizational archetypes.

“Seven” Habits at Work
2. Need for effectiveness
• No company can succeed until individuals within
it succeed. No group can achieve its objectives
until its people achieve theirs
– Dr. Stephen R. Covey,
3. Desire
Habits Defined
• Knowledge is the what to do
and why.
• Skill is the how to do.
• Desire is the motivation, the
want to do.
• A habit is the intersection of
knowledge, skill and desire.

10. Reactive Behavior
•Reactive people allow outside
influences (moods, feelings, or
circumstances) to control their
behavior.
Stimulus Response
11. What happens to a bottle of soda
when you shake it up?
It EXPLODES!
12. Sometimes things go wrong, and we feel shaken up.
As a result, we might EXPLODE on someone or
something. This is called being REACTIVE.
Reactive Behavior
13. When you are
PROACTIVE,
you make a choice about
how you react to the things
that happen in your life.
You act like a water bottle.
You might get shaken up or
mad, but you stay calm and
don’t explode!
Proactive Behavior
15. Habit 1: Be Proactive
Where do you focus your time and energy?
• Proactive people focus their efforts in the Circle of Influence.
• Reactive people focus their efforts in the Circle of Concern.

16. “Proactive people focus their efforts in
their circle of influence, causing the
circle of influence to increase
Reactive people focus their effort in the
circle of concern. The negative energy
generated by that focus causes the circle
of influence to shrink”
