- The educational environment should have more information about asthma to improve early diagnosis and help children suffering crises in school. Only 30% of teachers would help children having an asthma attack rather than calling parents.
- A new website called "Respirar" was launched on World Asthma Day to provide quality information on asthma to medical professionals and families. It aims to complement information families can access and ask questions about children's health.
- Teachers need more knowledge about asthma, as their lack of understanding represents an obstacle to helping children experiencing symptoms like coughing during exercise or sleep.

World Asthma Day 2023_ History, Significance, Theme, and Simple Care for Brea...SivaRajan47
Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that affects millions of people around the world. It is characterized by inflammation and narrowing of the airways, which can cause symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Asthma can be triggered by a variety of factors, including allergens, exercise, stress, and air pollution.
World Asthma Day is an annual event that is celebrated on the first Tuesday of May each year. It was first established in 1998 by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to raise awareness about the disease and promote better care for those who suffer from it. Since then, World Asthma Day has become a global platform for raising awareness about asthma, its management, and its prevention.
The theme for World Asthma Day changes each year, and it provides an opportunity to focus attention on specific aspects of asthma. In 2023, the theme for World Asthma Day is "Uncovering Asthma Misconceptions." This theme aims to dispel common myths about asthma and educate people about the true nature of the disease.
In this book, we will explore the history, significance, theme, and easy care for breathing problems and allergens on World Asthma Day 2023. By understanding the history and significance of this day, we can work together to promote better care for those who suffer from asthma and raise awareness about this chronic respiratory disease.

We'll look at how he maintains his well-being. the health issues he has faced, and his approach to ageing .
Early Life and Career
Childhood and Athletic Beginnings
Tom Selleck was born on January 29, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Sherman Oaks, California. From an early age, he was involved in sports, particularly basketball. which played a significant role in his physical development. His athletic pursuits continued into college. where he attended the University of Southern California (USC) on a basketball scholarship. This early involvement in sports laid a strong foundation for his physical health and disciplined lifestyle.
Transition to Acting
Selleck's transition from an athlete to an actor came with its physical demands. His first significant role in "Magnum P.I." required him to perform various stunts and maintain a fit appearance. This role, which he played from 1980 to 1988. necessitated a rigorous fitness routine to meet the show's demands. setting the stage for his long-term commitment to health and wellness.
Fitness Regimen

RESULTS: Overall life span (LS) was 2252.1±1742.5 days and cumulative 5-year survival (5YS) reached 73.2%, 10 years – 64.8%, 20 years – 42.5%. 513 LCP lived more than 5 years (LS=3124.6±1525.6 days), 148 LCP – more than 10 years (LS=5054.4±1504.1 days).199 LCP died because of LC (LS=562.7±374.5 days). 5YS of LCP after bi/lobectomies was significantly superior in comparison with LCP after pneumonectomies (78.1% vs.63.7%, P=0.00001 by log-rank test). AT significantly improved 5YS (66.3% vs. 34.8%) (P=0.00000 by log-rank test) only for LCP with N1-2. Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: phase transition (PT) early-invasive LC in terms of synergetics, PT N0—N12, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells- CC and blood cells subpopulations), G1-3, histology, glucose, AT, blood cell circuit, prothrombin index, heparin tolerance, recalcification time (P=0.000-0.038). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and PT early-invasive LC (rank=1), PT N0—N12 (rank=2), thrombocytes/CC (3), erythrocytes/CC (4), eosinophils/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), segmented neutrophils/CC (8), stick neutrophils/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10); leucocytes/CC (11). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (area under ROC curve=1.0; error=0.0).
CONCLUSIONS: 5YS of LCP after radical procedures significantly depended on: 1) PT early-invasive cancer; 2) PT N0--N12; 3) cell ratio factors; 4) blood cell circuit; 5) biochemical factors; 6) hemostasis system; 7) AT; 8) LC characteristics; 9) LC cell dynamics; 10) surgery type: lobectomy/pneumonectomy; 11) anthropometric data. Optimal diagnosis and treatment strategies for LC are: 1) screening and early detection of LC; 2) availability of experienced thoracic surgeons because of complexity of radical procedures; 3) aggressive en block surgery and adequate lymph node dissection for completeness; 4) precise prediction; 5) adjuvant chemoimmunoradiotherapy for LCP with unfavorable prognosis.

1. Due to the high prevalence of this pathology among children and teenagers
MORE EDUCATIONAL IMPLICATION TO DEAL WITH CHILDREN WHO
SUFFER FROM ASTHMA
- The Respiratory Tract Group at AEPap and Fundació Roger Torné have
relaunched the site ‘Respirar’ in the World Asthma Day.
- The educational milieu should have more information about asthma, to improve
the early diagnosis and to help those children who suffer a crisis at school.
- Only a 30% of the teachers would intervene to help children rather than calling
the parents or the headmaster
- When doing exercise or sleeping, the children’s coughing should make us
suspect or else the symptoms can get worse.
Madrid, 3rd of May, 2012. A 10% of children and teenagers suffer from asthma. Experts agree
that one of the causes for this is pollution and climate, which raises the number of mites in the
environment.
In the World Asthma Day, with the aim to give quality information about this pathology, the
Respiratory Tract Group at AEPap and Fundació Roger Torné have relaunched the site
‘Respirar’ (www.respirar.org). ‘We consider necessary to give rigorous and quality-focused
content both to health professionals and to patients with asthma and their families. This web is a
warranty in this sense because AEPAP will coordinate its contents from now on’, Soledad
Román, Fundació Roger Torné’s General Manager said.
Also, Román appreciated that ‘for us it is essential to ensure uninterested help to families and
we think that it is very important to complement, via web, the chance that they can formulate
questions and find contrasted information about everything related to children’s health and
environment’
Teacher’s implication
1
As the Internation Study Asthma and Allergy Children (ISAAC) , Study about allergy and
asthma in children says, in Spain between 8 and 15 students out of 100, suffers from
asthma.’Given the high incidence of this pathology, it is important that the educational
environment has more information about it, to prevent early diagnosis and to avoid asthma
crisis in school’s timetable’, Manuel Praena, coordinator at the GVR (Respiratory Tract Group)
in AEPap.
1
García-Marcos L, Quirós AB, Hernández GG et al. Stabilization of asthma prevalence among
adolescents and increase among schoolchildren (ISAAC phases I and III) in Spain. Allergy. 2004
Dec;59(12):1301-7.
2. Up to a 60% of the teachers in secondary education thinks that given grief symptoms, their way
2
to act would be to call the parents or the headmaster, while just a 30% would directly help0. As
Dr. Praena says, ‘this attitude represents an obstacle […], maybe because of the scarce
knowledge they have about the pathology or the legal consequences of their intervention.’
‘Respirar’
The site ‘Respirar’, with high popularity at an international level, orientates about the suitable
conditions that have to be accomplished in a school or institute that cares to give a safe and
healthy milieu for their asthmatic students.
How to control asthma
The patient should:
- Have a written treatment for his/her pathology.
- Have the medicines prescribed by the doctor.
- Know and avoid the factors that can unchain an asthma crisis.
- Learn to recognize the symptoms of an asthma crisis.
- Know what to do when an asthma crisis.
We consider that somebody is in control of asthma when he/she:
- Hasn’t got asthma symptoms such as coughing in the mornings or when running.
- Can sleep well without getting up.
- Doesn’t need relief medicines.
- Doesn’t have asthma attacks
- Can do all the sport activities and free time activities that he/she wishes.
The asthma symptoms are coughs and when they get worse, whistles and difficulty to breathe.
In words of Dr. Manuel Praena, ‘we have to suspect about a possible asthma diagnosis when,
while doing exercise or night sleeping, coughing appears. If this happens, the boy should be
attended because, if not, symptoms could get worse and a respiratory difficulty crisis could
come.
