Begins
Here are some activities that you and your child
can do at home that will give them practice with
what we are learning at school. Feel free to move
the activities around to different days if you
wish.
Monday – Make 0-10 number flashcards. Practice
identifying them and putting them in order. If
you notice that is easy, add 11-20.
Tuesday – Practice writing the letters N and n,
while saying their sound. Discuss difference
between uppercase and lowercase.
Wednesday – Practice identifying initial sounds
in words. Say a word to your child and have
them tell you the sound they hear at the
beginning. Also, give them a sound and have
them try and tell you a word that begins with that
sound.
Thursday – Using the letters l, o, g, h, t, p, a, build
words and sound them out to read.
Friday – Stretching the Words (see attached sheet)

Special Notes
Harvest Party
Thank you to everyone that helped make our
harvest party a success! We appreciated those
who came in and helped as well as those who
sent in something for the party. The kids had
lots of fun!
