In 2009, Nordnet, led by CEO Carl-Viggo Östlund and CFO Fredrik Svederman, reported strong growth and became the largest broker in the Nordic region, especially after acquiring EQ. The company experienced a rise in market shares and opened many accounts, despite facing challenges in Q4 due to acquisition-related costs. Looking forward, Nordnet aims to launch new banking products and aims to be the leading bank for savings in the Nordic countries by 2018.
