There are basically 2 aspect of communication :
1)Verbal communication
2)Non-verbal communication
3. VERBAL COMMUNICATION
• Use of sound and language to relay a
massage.
• An effective way of explaining intangible
concept.
4. Important consideration –
1) Rules govern communication in negotiation
interaction in following ways:-
a) many of rules are generated through the
negotiation interaction.
b) rules may be generated in a pre-negotiation
stage.

• Expressed through gestures ,postures etc.

• Sign language (symbols and signs)
• Para language like language ( i.e.. How a
speaker speaks)
• Body language or kinesics
• Proxemics or space language
• Chronemics or time language
9. Importance of non-verbal comm.
In negotiation

• Prompt and easy feedback
• Creates interest(colorful pictures,paintings
etc)
