SWI met with resident for individual session today. SWI met with client last week and was introduced as an intern at the program. Client is a 36-year-old, AA female living in the community. Client has a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. Resident’s mood was neutral and affect was congruent with mood. Resident’s ADL’s were fair; presented well with clean clothes. SWI and resident explored past to current situations involving IR’s family along with describing her mental illness and how treatment stabilizes her. IR stated that before being treated for her mental illness she was having auditory hallucinations telling her to harm herself and her two younger children. At the current time, one of her sisters is granted custody of her two children. IR is permitted supervised visitation rights and saw her children last on January 01, 2015. IR loves her children and wishes she were able to be the mother they need. IR has goals of finding employment to help support them in any way that she can. Due to being undocumented, finding employment is not possible at this time. Insight is limited; speech is soft; concentration was poor; IR was restless and constantly was moving her hands or body during the session; thought processes are fair; judgment and impulse control appear fair. Worker gave IR an assignment to write down 10 goals to work towards in regards to learning something new. IR enjoys being educated but has difficulty concentrating. Next individual session is scheduled for 07/07/2015.
The next steps are to continue to work weekly with IR and speak about her future and her children. I will also give her mini homework assignments to complete.

SWI met with resident for individual session today. SWI met with client last week and was introduced as an intern at the program. Client is a 36-year-old, AA female living in the community. Client has a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. Resident’s mood was neutral and affect was congruent with mood. Resident’s ADL’s were fair; presented well with clean clothes. SWI and resident explored past to current situations involving IR’s family along with describing her mental illness and how treatment stabilizes her. IR stated that before being treated for her mental illness she was having auditory hallucinations telling her to harm herself and her two younger children. At the current time, one of her sisters is granted custody of her two children. IR is permitted supervised visitation rights and saw her children last on January 01, 2015. IR loves her children and wishes she were able to be the mother they need. IR has goals of finding employment to help support them in any way that she can. Due to being undocumented, finding employment is not possible at this time. Insight is limited; speech is soft; concentration was poor; IR was restless and constantly was moving her hands or body during the session; thought processes are fair; judgment and impulse control appear fair. Worker gave IR an assignment to write down 10 goals to work towards in regards to learning something new. IR enjoys being educated but has difficulty concentrating. Next individual session is scheduled for 07/07/2015.
The next steps are to continue to work weekly with IR and speak about her future and her children. I will also give her mini homework assignments to complete.

What are your basic assumptions about human nature?
My basic assumption about human nature is that even though none of us are perfect, we all strive for our own idea of perfection. By working too much towards how we think we should be it can cause stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues and often these are the root cause of them. Humans are beautifully imperfect and while, yes, oftentimes we all have behaviors to be altered, we need to embrace ourselves with love and kindness. It is easy to give someone else our love, patience and kindness, but if we turn that inward we can be the best version of ourselves, perfect or not.
Which approach to therapy is closest to your beliefs about human nature?
The therapy that is closest to my beliefs about human nature is existential therapy. "Existential therapy focuses on exploring themes such as mortality, meaning, freedom, responsibility, anxiety, and aloneness as these relate to a person’s current struggle." (Corey, 2013). Existential therapy looks at the bigger picture of humanity and encourages celebration and appreciation of our successes rather than focusing on downfalls.
In what ways do you believe that your basic assumptions might determine the procedures that you would use when working with clients?
My basic assumptions will help me to focus on the good in my clients and not the negative that they themselves may focus on. It will give me a better understanding of why people feel their own shortcomings and how to show them that there is good and valuable qualities in everyone.

When you look into the mirror, you are checking how you appear, and how you feel and whether it matches. Human nature is the sum of our whole species looking in the mirror. Human nature includes 3 core characteristics shared by all individuals; feelings, behaviors, and psychology. Our experiences with humans are different. Some view humans as good or bad or capable of great kindness. These views can be clouded by what our culture tells us and by people's influences in our lives. In western cultures, our discussions usually begin with classical Greece; Aristotle and Plato (Claudia, 2021).
My basic assumptions about human nature is that we can survive from our past and that humans are generally kind creatures and extremely resilient. I believe that humans construct their reality. They do not have to be destined to a certain life based solely on their past circumstances. We have the ability to overcome mountains of challenges with proper thinking and behaviors. We are responsible creatures for our choices and can therefore change and become something. I am proof of these assumptions. I was the only one who hadnt experienced and the only one to become successful. I knew there had to be a way to help these men see life in a different way. this situation is important to me because this was all I knew growing up and if I could overcome the negativity I knew my positive would shine so that they could see there was another way and doing things another way of life. A question that I asked myself over and over was why am I allowing myself to become a product of my environment. I had to think over and over on why it took much time for me to receive this answer during my thinking process I evaluated my pros and cons of the situation and realize my pros of being successful and A man out weighed my cons of taking chances of becoming some trouble adult t bound for Jail. Another formulated question was: how did I get myself in the situation? the answer was confirmed immediately, peer pressure was a big reason to how I got myself in this as stated before I long to fit in or be accepted by people who I didn't realize at the time meant me no good. of the nine strategies remaining the sixth strategy reshapping your character helped me in my decision-making because I realize what the problem was and what it was doing to me and my surroundings. it took maturity and hard experiences . another strategy is handling a problem a day at a time. this help me in the situation I was in because of the answers I was trying to figure it all out at once time which made it harder but once I applied the strategy , handling a problem one day at a time it made it easier and less stressful. Cancer and my marriage
Cancer had a significant negative impact on the author's marriage. During treatment, which lasted over a year, communication broke down as she struggled with chemo brain and lack of energy. Her husband took on more responsibilities but also grew frustrated at times with her forgetfulness and unavailability. Their sex life stopped and financial stresses increased. They hit crisis points as her husband felt deprived and feared losing her. Regaining balance after treatment was challenging as the children saw the husband as the main parent. The author's scars and low energy still make intimacy difficult. She hopes to find a "survivorship plan" to strengthen their marriage but acknowledges divorce is common for couples facing this kind of stress.

Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity server
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).
zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

- 4. Feeling overweight and ugly, Mohini Kumar couldn't bring herself to look in the mirror. Due to her constant self criticism, her confidence was at an all-time low. She found herself in a difficult position as her job demanded she be outgoing and meeting people went with the territory. She felt awkward about her body and would even make fun of herself, lest someone else beat her to it. We worked with her limiting beliefs and turned her self talk into motivators for more positive behavior. "I've lost at least 10 kgs and feel so much better about myself. I'm no longer hiding behind baggy clothes and am receiving so many compliments. And when I look in the mirror, I'm happy with what I see."
