Katie Robertson began experiencing chronic pain at age 13 that was dismissed by doctors as being "in her head" until she was diagnosed at age 16 with Marfan syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder. She watched her mother struggle for years with undiagnosed chronic pain. It took them a long fight to get Katie properly diagnosed. Katie now hopes that by sharing her story, other young people with chronic pain will not have their symptoms brushed aside and will get the treatment and support they need.

He was now stranded without money or support. The story serves as a lesson that people should learn from the experiences of others rather than having to face difficulties themselves.

Somebody rushed him and took him to a hospital, when they got there the doctor asked the person that brought him what happened to him, he told him, so they started treating him, and when the man regained his consciousness they took his blood for test and saw what was wrong with him. They told him why he felled on the way, that he has not being resting for a while so his body system reacted. That is the only way they could get him to rest since he couldn’t do that willingly, the doctor explained. After that he asked him why he hasn’t being resting when he is suppose to. The man told him is because he has not gotten what he is looking for, and that which he was looking for was supposed to happen today. So the doctor continued, don’t you know that those things you want can come to you when you rest and go for them? Do you think that a
- 3. governor could have being a governor or govern well without resting? Don’t you know that God who gave night was not crazy when he did that? How can you put yourself in such risk that you nearly loss you life if somebody weren’t there to help you? How could you do that? How they you? He quickly saw that the doctor was getting angry then he started pleading. You see that man is insane. How could he do that, he is alive, has a place to live yet he couldn’t rest. Now did that desire of his come to pass? Off course no. Secondly, his money was gone plus the smells of the sick people around him combined with the pains of the injections. Those are pains. He was forced to learned the hard way, but watch this! The man who brought him was 10% closer to what he was doing, but when he saw how the doctor spooked on that man and what he lost, he
- 4. learned his lesson. The danger of this is that you don’t know how yours will be. Weather you will survive it or not you don’t know. That is why is good to learn from your past and immediate experiences, but must especially that of others. Is not always easy to learn from yours when you are there, so prevent that from happening with whatever you can, either by reading, attending seminars, praying, having a mentor, Etc. and when you do, that which happened to him will not happen to you. But when you fell to do so it may equally teach you your own hard lesson, maybe this time somebody may not be there to help you. I bet you don’t want that. So don’t allow it and learn from others! You can add this to your knowledge if you are ready now: is called “The Pains That Gave Him His 1st Cash.” Is a story of a young man whom the pains he faced while living with his aunt changed his life.
