Focuses on:
 Application-based, multi-step questions

 One set of “extended-thinking” grid-in questions (worth 4 points);

 A deep understanding of the theories behind mathematical principles,
such as building equations

 Problem Solving and Data Analysis - ratios, percentages, and proportional
reasoning to solve problems in science, social science, and career contexts.
 Heart of Algebra - mastery of linear equations and systems, which helps
students develop key powers of abstraction.
 Passport to Advanced Math - complex equations and the manipulation they
