Introduction
• As is now the case in nuclear, electronic,
chemical and other technologies, so that we
become consumers rather than producers. I
will focus on solar energy for its availability
and ease of manufacturing. I have spent more
than 20 years researching this subject and will
not discuss sports laws. I will make a general
presentation that will encourage Arab officials,
industrialists and researchers to come to this
important door.
solar power
• Solar energy is energy produced and enerated
from The sun which reaches the earth in the
form of solar radiation The upper layers of the
space around the ball are received The floor is
equal to 174 pt (1 pt = 1510) Watts) of solar
energy. Of which 30% is reflected and bsorbed
The remaining 122 pt by clouds and seas
Oceans and the earth's surface.
Energy Thermal Solar
• Is the process of harvesting and exploitation
of solar energy to produce thermal energy and
uses concentrates or solar collectors (solar
thermal) solar for this purpose The solar
thermal centers are divided into three types
• Low temperature concentrators,
• Medium temperature concentrators,
• And high-temperature concentrates
Use flat surfaces in the tiling and heating
Solar heaters are used and the idea of

which consists of a network of pipes filled
with water to be heated and placed in a box

• Photovoltaic phenomenon: The process of
converting light (sunlight) into direct electrical
energy using the electronic properties of
certain substances (such as silicon) and
compounds (such as cadmium tulide and
calcium arsenide), which are classified as
semiconductors.
The photoelectric
• effect The physical basis for solar cells is the
photoelectric effect (it was the explanation for
this for which Einstein won the Nobel Prize).
The photoelectric effect allows construction of
the automatic door openers that work when
you walk through a light beam.
Solar cells
• Solar cells work to make light into electricity
directly. When light shines, electrons are
liberated in the p-type region and holes produced
in the n-type region; this lowers the potential
energy barrier at the junction. A current flows
and establishes an external potential difference.
Solar cells act in a way similar to the diode, so
that current can flow in only one direction when
the cell is exposed to light. Even though
Becquerel discovered the effect in 1839, the first
solar cell was made only in 1954.
Transistors
• the transistor are called emitter and collector.
• The ubiquitous transistor is made in a way
similar to the solar cell. However, it has three
materials (and therefore two junctions). There
can be p-n-p transistors or n-p-n transistors.
