PLEGIA
• paralysis or a stroke
Examples:
• Cardioplegia (paralysis of the heart)
• Hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the
  body)
• Paraplegia (paralysis of the legs)
• Quadriplegia (paralysis of all four
  extremities).
HEMIPHEGIA
ESTHESIA
• Sensation
  Example:
• Parasthesia - abnormal sensation, such a
  tingling
• Anesthesia- total or partial loss of
  sensation
• Hyperaesthesia-abnormal increase in
  sensitivity to sensory stimuli
Administering ANESTHESIA
PHAGIA
• The eating of a specified substance or
  eating in a specified manner
Examples
• Aphagia- Not able to eat
• Chthonophagia- the impulsive
  consumption of dirt
• Dysphagia- swallowing is painful or
  difficult
DYSPHAGIA:
TAXIA
• Order or arrangement
Examples
• Ataxia- the loss of full control of bodily
  movements.
• Dystaxia- partial ataxia, a mild form of
  ataxia, or the loss of full control of bodily
  movements
