This document reports on the needs analysis conducted for an English for Specific Purposes course for doctors at the Shox Med Center hospital in Tashkent. Data was collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations of doctors and patients. The findings showed a need to improve communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural understanding, to effectively communicate with patients and foreign colleagues about medical procedures, treatments, and patient interactions. The course aims to enhance these skills so doctors can write clear reports, distinguish speech acts, and express opinions using appropriate language formats.
