In the 2013 article, “How Social Data Changes Everything We Know About Marketing Strate-
gies,” (written by John Elkaim and published online at Mashable) Elkaim notes that since
2002, television viewership is down almost 50% while social media sites have grown by
over 800%.
Although this is not an apples-to-apples comparison, you cannot overlook the underlying
message here. People continue to move away from content driven by corporate advertisers
and toward consumer-curated content. Culturally, we seek more and more engagement
with others with whom we feel we share a
connection and a similarity in perspective or
experiences.
Never before has the message “like attracts
like” meant so much. In a world that too often
seems as if it is defined by unrest, anger, and
dissatisfaction, you may feel as if you are living
counter culturally. The reality is: each of us
longs for and needs to establish connections
with people who “get us” and understand our
approach to life.
Come to the 2015 NGH Convention

Continually pursue avenues that help you connect with your prospective market. Utilize
social media, embracing it as a powerful conduit for building and sustaining client

For 65 years, the National Guild of Hypnotists has brought professional consulting hypno-
tists together, offering more courses, more presenters, more opportunities, and more fun
