It all started on December 6th, 2002. Nicholas Andrew Hulbert was born at 12:53AM at the St
Providence Hospital. I was born into a world full of unknowns. Let s name him Nicholas, since
today is Saint Nicholas day! . My father yelped as my mother was holding me in the blue baby
cloud blanket that I was wrapped in. Although I do not remember anything about my life before the
age of 6, memories show that I had done a lot in that short span of my lifetime. When I was 3 my
father Eric traveled a lot, he ran his business and had to go on a lot of business trips. My dad was a
scrawny guy, but he definitely had a dad belly from all the beer and wine he drank. My mother was

My experience includes three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and
one deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This is an account of the
