3. Water Mix Macadam (WMM) Road
It is a road base material
consisting of crushed
rock/slag usually premixed
with controlled amount of
water sufficient for adequate
compaction.

5. Advantage of WMM Road
 The WMM roads are said to be more durable.
 WMM roads are constructed at the faster rate.
 The consumption of the water is less in case of the WMM roads.

Flexible Pavement
It is composed of a bituminous
material surface course and
underlying base and subbase courses.
Rigid Pavement
Pavement that will provide high
bending resistance and distribute
loads to the foundation over a
comparatively large area.

12. Use of Demolished Concrete
Some Japanese came to visit LGED. They shared a concept of demolished concrete
reuse in different construction purposes.
They informed us that 70% demolished concrete is used in Japan for construction
purpose.
