A Student Teacher’s Prayer
Dearest Lord,
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to teach the young minds.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of these wonderful kids’ life.
I accept this responsibility wholeheartedly
But I will never be an effective one without Your help.
With this, I pray that You grant me enough wisdom
To impart knowledge needed by my students,
Allow me to be the person they needed as a second parent in school.
Remind me all the time the reasons why I am in this field,
To teach the children and serve You.
When I am in a situation where I need a lot of patience, provide me Lord.
Fill my heart with love even in the most unlovable moment of their lives.
Give me patience to teach students who are slow to learn and who refuse to learn.
Grace me with enthusiasm to face each type of learner every day.
Let me be who they need me to be.
When they need someone to trust, let me be trustworthy.
If they need sympathy, let me sympathize.
If they needed to be disciplined, let me be the authority to guide them
With sternness and yet with love.
I know, I am just beginning my career in this field,
And I accept the fact that I still have a lot to learn,
With this, I pray that you give me a humble heart to accept my mistakes,
And a brave soul to pursue what I have to do.
Guide every step of the way and lead me in everything that I have to do.
Help me to teach students more than the lessons in the book,
But those important things that people overlook.
Always remind me to consider the welfare of my students.
And make me the person who teaches them and learns with them at the same time.
Allow me to share light, love and hope to my students that
I’ll be able to leave a positive impact on their lives.
Ignite within me the passion for the profession and bless me towards the path of
embracing new experiences, sharing new ideas, feeding morale with new values and
lessons to ponder.
I know that I’m far from being perfect but with you I can do all things because I know
that you are always there to turn my weaknesses into strengths.
This I ask in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Teacher’s Creed
As student teachers,
We believe that the learners are the greatest handicrafts of God.
They aregifted with precious minds to be cultivated.
They are the hope of our fatherland.
For this reason, we teach because we believe that there are
children in need of education.
We teach because we believe every child has his own potential
yet to bediscovered and be developed.
We teach because we believe that children are improvable;
That while we cannot increase a child’s native intelligence,
We can help him find ways in which he can best use his
capacities.
We teach because we believe that each child should have the
opportunity to experiment with his
potential for them to be the individual they are capable of being
-
according to his own will, talent and courage.
We teach because we believe that teaching is a mission.
It is a calling.
It is a way bywhich we can help children to find their meaning
And realize their purpose in life.

Personal Educational Philosophy
According to William James and John Dewey, Pragmatism/Experimentalism is
pertains to learn from experiences through interaction to the environment. It
emphasizes the needs and interest of the children.
Learning from experience with interaction of the environment is the best
strategy that I used it in every time that I teach. My philosophy is incline of
Pragmatism, because in every time I’m dealing my students, I always asked
their point of view regarding on how or what are reaction of a certain situation.
In that matter, the learners used their own experience to answer it and new
learning will discover. From this case, you will know the needs and interest of
the students. You can easily identify what are their strengths and weaknesses
so that you can make an action through applying different methods of teaching.
Applying this philosophy of education is the best, because it is not about the
knowledge that you absorb from the book, it is because the learning that they
gathered from their experience. The students can easily understand, and
handles conflict situation if the teacher used this philosophy. Believe me if I'm
wrong, experience is the best teacher rather than the book.

My Narrative Report of In-Campus Teaching
January 13, 2020 my alarm started to ring because it was already 4
am. I was blessed because God gave me another day. I woke up in my bed and
prepared my new beautiful green and purple uniforms for my practice teaching.
Afterwards I went to Nanay Pems store to buy something to eat for my
breakfast. 5:00 am after breakfast, I'm just standing in the mirror for more than
15 minutes, because I just wanted to see myself that this student is now already
a practice teacher and ready to teach to the students.
Around 6:30 am, I went to UEP quadrangle, and attended the flag
ceremony, followed by the announcement of Ma'am Marciana Irinco, the
Guidance Counselor of the Office of Student Affairs. She welcomed us and
introduced us to the high school students. Afterwards me and my co-majors
went to the office of the principal and administered by Ma'am Arlene Padilla to
ask who our cooperating teacher was.
Mr. Gerobel R. Valenzuela, a biology major and Ms. Carmina Cerbito,
a math major, is my cooperating teacher, both are handling science subjects.
My feeling was extremely undefinable at that time because it was my first day,
first meeting with my students and first teaching. But consequently, we were
just observing first, and Wednesday was the start of teaching.
I thought that teaching was easy, but it is not what I expected. It was
far from my experience during demo teaching in front of my classmates. There
are many adjustments, like lesson planning, delivering the lesson and catching
attention to the learners. I think my skills were not enough to hold and
manipulate listeners.
On my first day of teaching, I struggled. Because I am just in the
middle in front of twenty four students and one teacher looking at my face. I felt
unrelax, tense, even my beautiful mouth that on every night practicing and
memorizing lines of my Lesson plan could not pass that journey. I couldn't talk
well because their presence was so strong. They are more excited than me.
But thanks to my cooperating teachers, they always guided me.
“Change it, think something that can suit it”, was always I heard from
my cooperating teachers in lesson planning but I cannot give up because I
think it was for my goodness. I am always wakeful of my journey, I cannot eat
well, I cannot brush my teeth and I cannot bathe because of preparing my
instructional materials that are used for my teaching. But it did not always
happen because everyday I've learned.
In my teaching, I am amazed by my students because they are always
advanced on the topic. As a teacher, it is not quite difficult to teach them but it is
scary if you have some typographical error in your instructional materials, and if
you aren't ready for the topic. Because they are always attentive and observant.
But I've learned a lot from them. I always checked my materials before teaching.
My students are all year level of junior high school UEPLLHS, grade 7,8,9
and 10. Different leyel, different experience, I struggled a lot, sometimes wanted to
give up but I won't because it is for my future. Sometimes I shorten my allowance
for making my instructional materials but I’m thankful because I have a lot of used
papers and used bond papers as alternatives.
My In-Campus Teaching was the best experience. Because you learned
the different sectors of teaching. Struggling in preparation of lessons, tensions in
front of your class and mastery of the lesson are the weaknesses that I successfully
surpass.
I was also chosen for local demo teaching to represent science majors.
My journey of preparing my lesson plan in the local demo teaching can enhance
me a lot. From the objectives up to assignments of the Lesson Plan was checked
by my cooperating teacher Gerobel R. Valenzuela. Even with the punctuation mark
he cannot pass it.
Different behavior and characteristics of the learners is a challenge of a
pre-service teacher. Teaching is not about sharing knowledge from the lesson but
it possesses a BUSINESS CONCEPT where the teacher and students both
benefited each other.
My Narrative Report of Off-Campus Teaching
February 19,2020 when we reported to my cooperating school Laoang National
High School for our off-campus teaching. My cooperating teacher is ma’am
Margie A. Rosales handling Grade 7-Emerald and Grade 9-Silver.
I'm expecting 1 week observation but It would not happened because my
cooperating teacher told us that we having a little time of teaching in the public
school and she expected us that we are already know how to play in class. She
gave the books for tomorrow’s lesson and we immediately made a Lesson Plan.
I thought teaching in public school was hard, but during my first lesson it was
not. I delivered my topic well, through experiments, and my cooperating teacher
congratulated me. She said that “ I already know the different strategies of
teaching, good job'' it was my pleasure to hear that.
But it did not always happen, sometimes I struggled because I cannot control
the minds of my students. Sometimes they are not listening to me. My phrase
that “ public school is not hard to teach” was changed into ``hard to teach
compared to my previous class in the UEPLLHS.
I love teaching them even if they are a lot. They love activities, and enjoy
answering my questions. They cannot hesitate to participate. Some of my
students said that “teacher kabaysay mo magtutdo, kunta kun makatangpos ka
dihan ka saam magtutdo'' I gained positivity and stress vanished on those
phrases. That’s why I make sure my lessons become lively and happy.
I cannot let my lesson become dull, but there are times that your plan cannot
follow because sometimes the students are not interested, and that’s the
hardest task of being a teacher. Catching the attention of students is not easy,
sometimes you must embrace the embarrassment of doing something for the
goodness of the students.
You can sing, even if you're not a singer, you can joke, even if you're not a
comedian, you can dance, even if you're not a dancer, all of that you must
possess for the sake of the learning of the learners.
Experimental activities should be to visualize and experience a certain topic
especially if it’s discovery approach. And that part was remarkable for me
because they enjoy doing experiments. Every time that I entered the room I
always heard that “Sir, ikaw yana mag tututdo? Sir, may experiment kit yana?''
They are always waiting for me. I felt they trusted in me and that’s the good
thing.
I've experienced holding an advisory class, the Grade 7-Emerald, because my
cooperating teacher had an emergency leave. I experienced recording
checking their attendance in the morning until afternoon using Attendance
Record. Even if its not my schedule of teaching lI'm always there to check and
to guard them.
I felt like I'm their mother, who always checked them. From the gate of the
school up to the room I always heard "Ada na si Sir' and they ran back into the
room. Holding an advisory class is the best experience ever. I felt I'm a real
teacher that is responsible to my students.
Off-campus teaching developed my real experience of the field. It can fulfill my
skills and development to become a productive teacher. I've learned that
teaching is not about teaching but you must insert LOVE AND CARE.
Narrative Report (Community Outreach Program)
Community Outreach Program is a program of school to community
to get the outcomes of specific areas of the community depending on the theme
of the program. As a result, organizers should make an effort to help the
community give an education.
BSEd Fourth year students are required to participate and organize
this program. Our theme is “REAL” (Read and Learn), A Reading Tutorial
Project. It aims at the readers on what they really understand the concept. Our
respondents are Grade 4,5,6 from the Liceo de Bethlehem of Samar, Inc.
The program is headed by Benjelen C. De Guzman and supported by
Coed Facility Members. It was started on February 15, 2020 at Liceo de
Bethlehem of Samar, Inc. Laoang Northern Samar. And attended by Faculty
Members; Dr. Alejandro L. Giray, Dr. Teody M. Corachea, Dr. Martin Nobes,
Maam Maricel O. Baldoza, and Diana Mercy Lubos. We were warmly welcomed
by students of Liceo de Bethlehem together with their beautiful and
approachable teachers. After the program we played videos for the introduction.
Afterwards the questions and answers portion started by Ruel A. Guinanao,
followed by snacks for 30 minutes and role play and the program ended at 11:00
AM.
Next session: The grade level was compartmentalized into three
categories. The Grade 4 is for Math major, the Grade 5 is for English major and
the Grade 6 is for Science Major. The tutorial started up to 8:00AM and had a
break time for snacks at 10:00AM to 10:30AM and the tutorial ended at
11:00AM.The tutorials continue every Saturday.
The Extension program ended on March 14,2020 because of the
unexpected postponement of class by the government due to the pandemic
virus (CoronaVirus) that was rapidly spreading all over the world. I'm expecting
the Extension Program to end in the first week of May but sad to say it is not. I
hope that this virus will be vanished in order to meet the students of the Liceo
de Bethlehem, and I could share my knowledge with them.
I've learned that teaching is not only about the school but it could also
happen to the community. Sometimes we don’t need to look at the specific area
to share an education. Sometimes we must go beyond the school to understand
the community's needs to spread that EDUCATION IS EVERYWHERE.
Reflection on the Portfolio
While compiling this portfolio, I've learned that teaching will
become tangible if you have evidence. Sorting papers, outputs of
the students, grades and other those are the sectors that can fulfill
the Portfolio. It's just like an autobiography in that you need to
include those places, things, and persons that could give an
importance about life.
From the start, I knew that being a pre-service teacher was
not easy, because more challenges that I need to embrace to test if
l deserve it. As a result, I acquired more knowledge and experience.
I executed my talents and skills in my profession to achieve and
meet higher quality education. Practice teaching is the most
transformative job because it will transform, and honed individuals
into productive and effective student-teachers. I've taught more than
a hundred students in my field and those challenges I surpass; I
cannot give up because I know myself that I can handle it.
About my journey, I've learned that if you are dedicated, you
can cross the horizon over the ocean and reach the clouds with your
diligence and perseverance.
My journey of my practice teaching is right now compiled
into one folder. Folder that contains my hardship and dedication that
could inspire any one of those readers.
Brief Synopsis
This portfolio contains the School Profile, In and off-campus
teaching evidence and experiences. This is made about by the
author's experience that it regards on his journey during his field. It
aims to visualize the life of being a pre-service teacher, evidence,
and lessons.
Career Plan
After graduation, I will go to Manila to review and apply there as a
teacher in a private school. I will ensure that I can pass the Licensure
Examination for Teachers for the regularity. I will impart my
knowledge and experience to the students in order to become a
productive individual. I will embrace my profession that teachers are
the heroes of the Filipino. Teachers can nurture the minds of
individuals to train them to become competitive and productive
citizens of the society. I will use my talents and skills for my teaching
strategies.
After 5years from now l will be an official teacher in the public school.
I will teach different grade levels. I will enroll in a master's degree to
level up my profession. And of course, to get more experience and
master the different sectors in terms of education. I just want my
learning to become wider just like a philosopher. I will attend
seminars or workshops that could enhance my knowledge and
skills.
Ten years from now, I will hold an advisory class. I will impart my
knowledge to the learners, through using different strategies of
teaching. I will ensure that my topic becomes understandable and
clear, for them to embrace the learning directly towards them. I'll
make sure that I will become an effective and good teacher in future.

Teacher’s Creed As studentteachers, We believe that the learners are the greatest handicrafts of God. They aregifted with precious minds to be cultivated. They are the hope of our fatherland. For this reason, we teach because we believe that there are children in need of education. We teach because we believe every child has his own potential yet to bediscovered and be developed. We teach because we believe that children are improvable; That while we cannot increase a child’s native intelligence, We can help him find ways in which he can best use his capacities. We teach because we believe that each child should have the opportunity to experiment with his potential for them to be the individual they are capable of being - according to his own will, talent and courage. We teach because we believe that teaching is a mission. It is a calling. It is a way bywhich we can help children to find their meaning And realize their purpose in life.

Personal Educational Philosophy Accordingto William James and John Dewey, Pragmatism/Experimentalism is pertains to learn from experiences through interaction to the environment. It emphasizes the needs and interest of the children. Learning from experience with interaction of the environment is the best strategy that I used it in every time that I teach. My philosophy is incline of Pragmatism, because in every time I’m dealing my students, I always asked their point of view regarding on how or what are reaction of a certain situation. In that matter, the learners used their own experience to answer it and new learning will discover. From this case, you will know the needs and interest of the students. You can easily identify what are their strengths and weaknesses so that you can make an action through applying different methods of teaching. Applying this philosophy of education is the best, because it is not about the knowledge that you absorb from the book, it is because the learning that they gathered from their experience. The students can easily understand, and handles conflict situation if the teacher used this philosophy. Believe me if I'm wrong, experience is the best teacher rather than the book.

My Narrative Reportof In-Campus Teaching January 13, 2020 my alarm started to ring because it was already 4 am. I was blessed because God gave me another day. I woke up in my bed and prepared my new beautiful green and purple uniforms for my practice teaching. Afterwards I went to Nanay Pems store to buy something to eat for my breakfast. 5:00 am after breakfast, I'm just standing in the mirror for more than 15 minutes, because I just wanted to see myself that this student is now already a practice teacher and ready to teach to the students. Around 6:30 am, I went to UEP quadrangle, and attended the flag ceremony, followed by the announcement of Ma'am Marciana Irinco, the Guidance Counselor of the Office of Student Affairs. She welcomed us and introduced us to the high school students. Afterwards me and my co-majors went to the office of the principal and administered by Ma'am Arlene Padilla to ask who our cooperating teacher was. Mr. Gerobel R. Valenzuela, a biology major and Ms. Carmina Cerbito, a math major, is my cooperating teacher, both are handling science subjects. My feeling was extremely undefinable at that time because it was my first day, first meeting with my students and first teaching. But consequently, we were just observing first, and Wednesday was the start of teaching. I thought that teaching was easy, but it is not what I expected. It was far from my experience during demo teaching in front of my classmates. There are many adjustments, like lesson planning, delivering the lesson and catching attention to the learners. I think my skills were not enough to hold and manipulate listeners. On my first day of teaching, I struggled. Because I am just in the middle in front of twenty four students and one teacher looking at my face. I felt unrelax, tense, even my beautiful mouth that on every night practicing and memorizing lines of my Lesson plan could not pass that journey. I couldn't talk well because their presence was so strong. They are more excited than me. But thanks to my cooperating teachers, they always guided me. “Change it, think something that can suit it”, was always I heard from my cooperating teachers in lesson planning but I cannot give up because I think it was for my goodness. I am always wakeful of my journey, I cannot eat well, I cannot brush my teeth and I cannot bathe because of preparing my instructional materials that are used for my teaching. But it did not always happen because everyday I've learned.

In my teaching,I am amazed by my students because they are always advanced on the topic. As a teacher, it is not quite difficult to teach them but it is scary if you have some typographical error in your instructional materials, and if you aren't ready for the topic. Because they are always attentive and observant. But I've learned a lot from them. I always checked my materials before teaching. My students are all year level of junior high school UEPLLHS, grade 7,8,9 and 10. Different leyel, different experience, I struggled a lot, sometimes wanted to give up but I won't because it is for my future. Sometimes I shorten my allowance for making my instructional materials but I’m thankful because I have a lot of used papers and used bond papers as alternatives. My In-Campus Teaching was the best experience. Because you learned the different sectors of teaching. Struggling in preparation of lessons, tensions in front of your class and mastery of the lesson are the weaknesses that I successfully surpass. I was also chosen for local demo teaching to represent science majors. My journey of preparing my lesson plan in the local demo teaching can enhance me a lot. From the objectives up to assignments of the Lesson Plan was checked by my cooperating teacher Gerobel R. Valenzuela. Even with the punctuation mark he cannot pass it. Different behavior and characteristics of the learners is a challenge of a pre-service teacher. Teaching is not about sharing knowledge from the lesson but it possesses a BUSINESS CONCEPT where the teacher and students both benefited each other.

My Narrative Reportof Off-Campus Teaching February 19,2020 when we reported to my cooperating school Laoang National High School for our off-campus teaching. My cooperating teacher is ma’am Margie A. Rosales handling Grade 7-Emerald and Grade 9-Silver. I'm expecting 1 week observation but It would not happened because my cooperating teacher told us that we having a little time of teaching in the public school and she expected us that we are already know how to play in class. She gave the books for tomorrow’s lesson and we immediately made a Lesson Plan. I thought teaching in public school was hard, but during my first lesson it was not. I delivered my topic well, through experiments, and my cooperating teacher congratulated me. She said that “ I already know the different strategies of teaching, good job'' it was my pleasure to hear that. But it did not always happen, sometimes I struggled because I cannot control the minds of my students. Sometimes they are not listening to me. My phrase that “ public school is not hard to teach” was changed into ``hard to teach compared to my previous class in the UEPLLHS. I love teaching them even if they are a lot. They love activities, and enjoy answering my questions. They cannot hesitate to participate. Some of my students said that “teacher kabaysay mo magtutdo, kunta kun makatangpos ka dihan ka saam magtutdo'' I gained positivity and stress vanished on those phrases. That’s why I make sure my lessons become lively and happy. I cannot let my lesson become dull, but there are times that your plan cannot follow because sometimes the students are not interested, and that’s the hardest task of being a teacher. Catching the attention of students is not easy, sometimes you must embrace the embarrassment of doing something for the goodness of the students. You can sing, even if you're not a singer, you can joke, even if you're not a comedian, you can dance, even if you're not a dancer, all of that you must possess for the sake of the learning of the learners.

Experimental activities shouldbe to visualize and experience a certain topic especially if it’s discovery approach. And that part was remarkable for me because they enjoy doing experiments. Every time that I entered the room I always heard that “Sir, ikaw yana mag tututdo? Sir, may experiment kit yana?'' They are always waiting for me. I felt they trusted in me and that’s the good thing. I've experienced holding an advisory class, the Grade 7-Emerald, because my cooperating teacher had an emergency leave. I experienced recording checking their attendance in the morning until afternoon using Attendance Record. Even if its not my schedule of teaching lI'm always there to check and to guard them. I felt like I'm their mother, who always checked them. From the gate of the school up to the room I always heard "Ada na si Sir' and they ran back into the room. Holding an advisory class is the best experience ever. I felt I'm a real teacher that is responsible to my students. Off-campus teaching developed my real experience of the field. It can fulfill my skills and development to become a productive teacher. I've learned that teaching is not about teaching but you must insert LOVE AND CARE.

Narrative Report (CommunityOutreach Program) Community Outreach Program is a program of school to community to get the outcomes of specific areas of the community depending on the theme of the program. As a result, organizers should make an effort to help the community give an education. BSEd Fourth year students are required to participate and organize this program. Our theme is “REAL” (Read and Learn), A Reading Tutorial Project. It aims at the readers on what they really understand the concept. Our respondents are Grade 4,5,6 from the Liceo de Bethlehem of Samar, Inc. The program is headed by Benjelen C. De Guzman and supported by Coed Facility Members. It was started on February 15, 2020 at Liceo de Bethlehem of Samar, Inc. Laoang Northern Samar. And attended by Faculty Members; Dr. Alejandro L. Giray, Dr. Teody M. Corachea, Dr. Martin Nobes, Maam Maricel O. Baldoza, and Diana Mercy Lubos. We were warmly welcomed by students of Liceo de Bethlehem together with their beautiful and approachable teachers. After the program we played videos for the introduction. Afterwards the questions and answers portion started by Ruel A. Guinanao, followed by snacks for 30 minutes and role play and the program ended at 11:00 AM. Next session: The grade level was compartmentalized into three categories. The Grade 4 is for Math major, the Grade 5 is for English major and the Grade 6 is for Science Major. The tutorial started up to 8:00AM and had a break time for snacks at 10:00AM to 10:30AM and the tutorial ended at 11:00AM.The tutorials continue every Saturday. The Extension program ended on March 14,2020 because of the unexpected postponement of class by the government due to the pandemic virus (CoronaVirus) that was rapidly spreading all over the world. I'm expecting the Extension Program to end in the first week of May but sad to say it is not. I hope that this virus will be vanished in order to meet the students of the Liceo de Bethlehem, and I could share my knowledge with them. I've learned that teaching is not only about the school but it could also happen to the community. Sometimes we don’t need to look at the specific area to share an education. Sometimes we must go beyond the school to understand the community's needs to spread that EDUCATION IS EVERYWHERE.

Reflection on thePortfolio While compiling this portfolio, I've learned that teaching will become tangible if you have evidence. Sorting papers, outputs of the students, grades and other those are the sectors that can fulfill the Portfolio. It's just like an autobiography in that you need to include those places, things, and persons that could give an importance about life. From the start, I knew that being a pre-service teacher was not easy, because more challenges that I need to embrace to test if l deserve it. As a result, I acquired more knowledge and experience. I executed my talents and skills in my profession to achieve and meet higher quality education. Practice teaching is the most transformative job because it will transform, and honed individuals into productive and effective student-teachers. I've taught more than a hundred students in my field and those challenges I surpass; I cannot give up because I know myself that I can handle it. About my journey, I've learned that if you are dedicated, you can cross the horizon over the ocean and reach the clouds with your diligence and perseverance. My journey of my practice teaching is right now compiled into one folder. Folder that contains my hardship and dedication that could inspire any one of those readers.
