• Announcing the Azure Monitor Community Repository, which provides a collaborative space for
community members to share and explore Azure Monitor artifacts such as queries [KQL],
workbooks, and alerts. This repo is public and can accept contributions from any Azure Monitor
user, for the benefit of the entire Azure Monitor community.

• The repository has three main categories, each contains folders for queries, workbooks, and
alerts.
These categories are:
• Azure services – these are examples created for specific Azure services (e.g. Virtual machines,
Event Hubs, Logic Apps etc.).
• Scenarios – example queries and workbooks that address common 'how to' scenarios, such as
'How to run search queries', 'How to analyze usage and billing', and more.
• Solutions – this category will have artifacts related to Azure Monitor solutions.

• Create automated workflows using hundreds of actions for a variety of services with
Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate.. The Azure Monitor logs connector is now
generally available—use it to build workflows that retrieve data from the Azure Monitor
Logs workspace or Application Insights component.
• For example, create a logic app to query Azure Monitor Logs data and send it in an email
notification from Office 365, create a bug in Azure DevOps, or post a Slack message.
Trigger a workflow by a simple schedule or from some action in a connected service such
as when a mail or a tweet is received.

Selective disks backup for Azure
Virtual Machine [Public Preview]

• Currently, Azure Backup supports backing up all disks (OS and Data disks) in a VM using
backup solution for Azure VMs.
• Today, we are announcing the public preview of selective disks backup and restore
capability for Azure Virtual Machines. Using the selective disks backup functionality, you
get an option to backup a subset of the data disks in a VM

Benefits include –
•Cost optimization: Low cost of backup storage gives you control over which disks to
include or exclude
•Quicker backup and restore operation: Given that the recovery point includes only
selective disks, the amount of data that is transferred during backup to the vault and
restored back from the vault is significantly reduced thus optimizing network bandwidth

configuring backup for Azure file shares by giving you
the ability to seamlessly enable backup from the file
share management blade. With the integration of Azure
Backup into file share management blade, you can
perform the backup and restore related operations
directly from the file share blade, as well as the recovery
services vault blade.
• You can now protect your Azure file shares with a simple
two-step backup configuration process that involves
creating or selecting an existing recovery services vault
and creating or selecting an existing backup policy that
meets your retention requirements.

Azure Advisors new Quick Fix feature makes optimization at
scale faster and easier by allowing users to remediate
recommendations for multiple resources simultaneously
and with only a few clicks. Users can now multi-select
resources to take the recommended Advisor actions on all
selected resources as a bulk operation instead of having to
remediate each resource individually. Quick Fix also creates
a consistent, streamlined, and more automated experience
for Advisor recommendation remediation. At launch, Quick
Fix is enabled for a subset of Advisor recommendations in
the Azure portal, with more on the way.
