3. RESEARCH
The strengths of my research were that I looked into shot
ideas, such as the panning to the right, the medium
shot, the 180 around the back of the subject. The
research helped my production because it helped me
come up with shot ideas as I was shooting.
Another thing is that Ive seen these shots preformed in
person beforehand so I knew the foot work and hand
movements before hand.
The weaknesses are that I didn’t expand my research
enough to become up with more creative shots. I
could’ve used a wider use of sources and websites to
broaden my creativity.
The way it woud’ve affected my final product is that
there might’ve been more camera movement which
4. PLANNING
The strengths of planning are that the time frames was
all put into order, so that we didn’t have to worry about
what we have or haven’t done. This made production
time as efficient as it could be. The planning helped
production by making everything easy to control.
The weaknesses of our planning were that we didn’t take
into account any delays such as colleuges being late, or
any sort of disturbances such as a fire alarm going off.
We could’ve improved this by giving ourselves slightly
more time for each task we needed to do.
The effects of this is that we were left with a small
amount of time to complete the rest of our productions
5. TIME MANAGEMENT
we managed our time well, we completed all of our
projects in the time frame that we had.
If we were able to have roughly 2 more hours we
could’ve perfected all the shots needed and possibly
improved the final product.
The time we were given didn’t affect the amount we did,
as we got everything completed on time.
6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERA
The technical qualities of the Sony
a6300:
• 24mega pixels
• Ability to shoot in 4k
• 120fps
• Weather sealed
• The lens used was a sigma 18-
35mm f1.4
• Ronin ss
7. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POST
I had o sync up the video to the audio by
zooming in ion the timeline and matching it
to make it seem like the subject was
singing. Then I had to warp stabilize most
of the shots as they had a lot of shake to
them. The final product of the MV consists
a total of 10 different shots but only in 3
different locations.
8. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
The aesthetic qualities are consistent in the cooler colours, such as
blues and whites. This can create a much colder/winter mood to the
video.
Another thing that affects the aesthetic is the background, as one
shot has a clear white background, the other has a creamy white.
This can change the overall mood of the music video.
9. AUDIENCE APPEAL
It appeals to some of the audience because its
simplistic and slow. This might appeal to people that
like slow music but might not appeal to those who like
quicker paced music.
This can overall affect the amount of "traction" it gins
when it becomes published because it only appeals to a
certain amount of viewers.
11. FEEDBACK 1
What did you like about the product?
What I like about the MV is that its slow and calming, the
shots are well timed and positioned through the MV
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
An improvement I could've made is that I could've used a
wider variety of shots and camera angles
12. FEEDBACK 2
What did you like about the product? I like the product
because it's easy to know what's going on throughout
the video
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
I couldve made it so it’s a bit more complex and a bit
more "packed" with shots, because it currently feels
barren.
13. FEEDBACK 3
What did you like about the product?
i liked the colour choice through out the video because
it's easy to see, and it shows the main points that you
should be looking at.
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
I could've added a bit more colour variation because it
also seem a bit plain and in a way, quiet.
14. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
My peers have pointed out that I could use a bigger
variety of locations as ive only used 3-4 different
locations.
Make It more clear about the feeling/mood of the video.
Use a more dynamic range of lighting and narritive
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
There isn’t anything that my peers have said that I
disagree with. I need to be more specific about where
and what happens through my video.
15. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
I would use a wider variety of locations because it dwells
deeper into the story behind my MV and in doing so it
would also solidify the desired feeling and mood behind
my mv.
I would also increase the variation of colour used to make
it seem less plain because the choice of colour makes it
seem quiet as I've pointed out in previous slides.
