3. RESEARCH
The strengths of my research were been able
to get my ideas all out onto paper for
example I struggled to type out what I was
researching, like the genre, aesthetic,
colours, mise enscene. So I wrote down a lot
of my research and ideas that id gathered.
This helped my main product as I
discovered different things that other artists
used in there music videos. It took me a
while to research what song I wanted to
chose, however I watched lots and I was
mainly looking into researching indie rock. I
research artists such as “pale waves” “1975”
until choosing beabadoobee. I loved the
song I chose as I felt I could match her
aesthetic and the beat would be fun to work
with. If I hadn't of chosen the correct song
my product wouldn’t of been as good as id
of liked it could have been slightly boring or
i might have struggled to think of as many
as ideas as I did. I researched the
background of the artists and the producers.
4. PLANNING
The strengths of my planning was that I was able to
plan my work out and set a good schedule for what
I was going to create. Part of the planning was
laying out what I was going to do each day. This
helped me keep on track. I also wrote notes on my
phone of things I still needed to complete. I
struggled to type out what I was planning during
this process as I found I couldn’t concentrate witch
was a weakness for me as it delayed me slightly. As
this happened I tried writing out notes instead and
this helped a lot, I managed to plan and write out
each thing in a timeline format. This also cleared
my headspace as I knew what I was doing. However
my notes could of been slightly more easier to read
for use in production. I could of planned when I was
going to use the props and what place as I felt I
didn’t really know when I was going to use the
products until producing. I do think planning Did
take a long time, this did effect my production time
as I didn’t have as long and upon reflection I would
of liked a lot longer on production and less on
planning as planning was only really useful when I
was planning things in the moment witch was a
realistic outcome.
5. TIME MANAGEMENT
I felt like managed my time okay. I felt that I maybe
needed more time recording and producing and less time
planning as when the week of production came ahead it
felt very rushed. This could have been improved by
possibly starting my project on the time it was exactly
supposed to be started or possibly giving myself a little
extra ahead time to produce and communicate this with
my tutor. As seen in the photo I assigned each person to a
roll to help with getting each role done in the right place
and time. This really helped to get things done.
6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERA
During production I used a wide range of technical
qualities. Including changing the ISO to 6000 witch is
very bright this made some of the clips bolder and
more effective, I also included zoom to some of my
clips to create suspension and a more close up shot.
On certain clips I also used the trip and handled the
camera to create a overshot angle so it was almost a
birds eye view.

7. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POST
I edited my project with lots of aesthetic qualities including
increase of saturation, and when editing I used the colour
wave on premiere pro and this made certain clips look cool
and really saturated on certain areas of my face. I added
fuiji film too, I edited some of the times on my clips for
example used slow mo to make them slower and the lip
syncing in tune and also increased the speed on premiere. I
used a ghost effect and sped up a clip to make it look really
fast and blurry. I loved how this looked and this challenged
me.
Increased in saturation

brightness.

8. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
My work is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, for example I
featured lots of editing of colouring and increasing the saturation and
editing certain clips of proquil.
On this app I added overlay effects and text to match the music. I
really enjoyed using this app as it was creative but just all round
made the clips look a lot more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I also
used a LED light in certain clips in the studio to create a cool vibe to
my clips. I did this so it would appeal to the audience of young fun
teenagers, and be party like. Another strength to my work would be
the messy teenage life, I really enjoyed creating this vibe as it was
almost vintage and wild. This matched the song really well. I also
made use of the led light in witch I turned the brightness up to reflect
against the white wall. This looked really cool.
9. AUDIENCE APPEAL
I appealed to my audience by researching the aesthetic of
the audience that im appealing to. For example What the
artists audience is. I did this by looking at there social
media, Certain parts of my clips appealed to this audience
for example the clothing I wore and different props I used
for example a " fake cigarette" I also acted quite silly in the
clips Witch showed a level of immaturity as beabadoobee
acts quite cool and ditsy.
Vintage film to
create a old indie
effect.

11. FEEDBACK 1
What did you like about the product?
" I liked how there was a wide range of colours going on,
It also was really fast pace and matched the bass right"
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
" A wider range of effects edited onto the clips to make it slightly
more creater"
12. FEEDBACK 2
What did you like about the product?
" I loved the song and how it cut from playing instruments to silly
clips witch looked really cool with the LED light"
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
" Planning could have been spent less time on and production more"
13. FEEDBACK 3
What did you like about the product?
" Il like how its you as the main star and how the editing
has made it look like your part of the band and its
actually your song, that looks really cool"
What improvements could have been made to the
product?
"I would of liked to see more of the instruments been played as I
thought seeing you lip sync looked really good"
14. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
What do you agree with from your peer feedback? I do
agree that my clips looked really cool as the way I edited
them with the saturation and the Vibe of The cool
teenage music video inspiration. I also would of liked
more time to produce as I did feel slightly rushed and
looking back it would have been really helpful to have
more time.
What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
I do not disagree with any of my feedback as I think it
was all fair and I agree with it and the improvements I
could of made.
15. PEER FEEDBACK SUMMARY
The feedback overall was really helpful and helped me
reflect my work massively. I realised that it would have
been more helpful to give myself a little more time to
produce or maybe in the future get ahead of time on
my production work. I think I edited the work pretty
well and I liked how my project came out. I would
probably of liked to edit some clips a little more than
just adding saturation if I had more time. Aswell as
using more mise en scene and exploring the camera
technical side more.
