3. ANALYSIS (SHOT 1)
This shot is a close up shot
He is positioned in the middle frame to show that he is the main person of the
frame.
Mise En Scene - Low Key Lighting in this shot to show the mystery , sadness and
darkness of this boys aura, making it seem like he is a villain. The colour red on his
hat symbolises danger and the danger the boy is now in.
The shot that lead to a different scene or frame from this shot was a cut editing
which is the most common and simple editing technique.
5. ANALYSIS (SHOT 2)
This is a close up shot, this is to show that this is what we are meant to focus on.
The Television is in the middle frame this also backs up the point that this the main
object of the frame.
Also this shot doesn’t seem to be filled with low-key lighting as the context of the
frame is a bad theme and we suspect it to be a dark lighting, this isn’t the case in this
shot. It has mid-key lighting.
There is a lot of red colouring in this shot expressing the danger of the kid. You can see
in the TV and other places, especially the book on the bottom right of the frame, which
says EMERGENCY with a White font on Red, this is done on purpose.

7. ANALYSIS SHOT 3
This is a Long Shot/Wide Shot, this is to emphasize the isolation of the location the kid
is in.
The kid is positioned in the 1/3 of the frame, it shows how small he is compared to the
wilderness and this is because to show that this kid is lost and could possibly be lost in
his mind as well, we don’t know the state of this kid.
This shot is quite light meaning this has nothing to do with context of the boy.
The kid is surrounded by dead trees however , people see nature as peaceful, this is
symbolism of the boy that his shell(what people see) is a dangerous kid, however his
inner shell is a peaceful kid and really isn’t dangerous.

As we know the kid in this video has powers or also can be known to be special, many people are
automatically are scared and withdrawn from this. This song is for people who face obstacles that
may knock them down like how this kid running away from the police in order to survive, this song
is to motivate people to be strong as why SIA uses the word ‘Titanium’ which is intertextual
language.
A lot of teenage Alienation in this video referring to how teenagers feel in real life
This being said the representation of the artists gives them a good picture to others and presents
them as role models to others and inspires people to do good for others as well.
