MOJO is a monthly classic rock magazine that was first published in October 1993 and inspired two other music magazines. It is edited by Phil Alexander and was originally published by Emap but is now owned by Bauer. In 2010, Bauer attempted to impose new contracts on photographers and writers that would remove their copyrights and liability, which MOJO refused. Top of the Pops is a monthly magazine aimed at teen girls that was launched in 2005 to accompany the TV show of the same name. It includes music charts, gossip, fashion and beauty topics. When the TV show ended in 2006, the magazine continued under publisher Immediate Media Company, shifting over time to focus more on topics for young girls than music.
