Murals that already exist in Cranford Community CollegeBy Zahra Printer
Mural 1 – Is located in the Music Department. The Mural as we can see is really colourful and have very bright colours. The Mural also has a man in black and white, representing music in the old days. There are many shapes, based around music, as they are mainly music notes, or musical instrumentsThe mural is very simple but as it has a lot of colours on very simple images, it makes the mural very eye catching without making it look crowded.
Mural 2 – Is placed in the dining hall at Cranford. This Mural is very colourful and has a lot more detail.Their are lots of people from different backgrounds and cultures. All coming together as one. As Cranford is a very multi-cultural school this mural is a good example of what Cranford is like. The theme if this mural was of our Cranford Carnival, when the hole school came together as one.
Mural 3 – Is located on a wall near a staircase. This mural has a very unique style to it. They are trying to represent the Cranford 3 Rights in the form of a well known video game.I find it really good as it drags our attention as it’s something we can relate, whilst informing us of the 3 Rights. The Mural used 4 basic colours; red, white, and green all based on a black background. Even thought the colours are very simple they stand out as the theme is very eye catching itself and too many colours would make it look crowded.
Mural 4 – Is placed in the concert hall. This mural includes many different things from, quotes, words, religious symbols, buildings, people, different shapes etc. Everything drawn on this mural was drawn for a reason and has a meaning behind it.There must be every colour we know included in this mural; which is made out of fabric. This Mural has so much going on, but has a lot of meaning behind this mural.
